A measuring tool is used to measure the shape of a person's body. The tool has a belt and at least one measuring tape attached, which extends perpendicularly to the belt. The tool is held to the person's waist with the belt. While the person is standing, shape measurements are typically made at one or more points based on the measuring tape. This measuring tape extends a length sufficient to include the person's seat and hip, where the shape will be measured, but will generally not be as long as the person's leg or long enough to touch the ground.

Embodiments of the invention provide a composite sheet for creating a customized design. The composite sheet includes a first fabric portion, a second fabric portion, and a membrane portion disposed between the first fabric portion and the second fabric portion, where the first fabric portion is sewn with stitching to the second fabric portion. One advantage of the composite sheet and related systems and methods is that users can create customized designs conveniently on their own home printer.

Shape measuring tape

Protective gear for a wearer's body such as the joint of a limb, that has an attachment system with few components, and integrated with the protective gear. The attachment system uses straps that can be adjusted by a wearer once during a first use and, after removal, retain their adjustments for a second use by the same wearer. Securing the attachment system in place can be accompanied by an auditory signal.
