The invention relates to a shielded connector for a motor vehicle. The connector comprises at least one casing shielding element. The shielding element includes a cable outlet portion provided with a plurality of resilient tabs that are integral with the shielding element. The tabs include a contact zone in electrical contact with a ferrule crimped to a shielding braid of a cable. The contact zone is maintained pressed against the shielding braid by means of a removable clamping ring.

Shielded electrical connector and production method thereof

An electrical connector including a housing made of rigid electrically insulating material and having an outer portion and an inner portion designed to receive an electrical terminal, a shielding made of electrically conductive material surrounding the inner portion including a rear extension, a sealing system including an outer seal, and an inner seal provided between the inner portion and the shielding. A method for assembling such an electrical connector is also presented.

Electrical connector

A power plug comprising a housing with a plurality of receptacles and extending along a receptacle axis parallel to the mating direction. Each receptacle has a central part and a front part with an opening to receive a male terminal of the complementary electrical socket. The power plug comprises a plurality of female terminals passing through the housing in parallel to the mating direction. Each female terminal includes a central part located in the central part of the receptacle, and a front part projecting from the central part in the mating direction and receiving a male terminal. The receptacle includes a plurality of ribs arranged radially on an inner side of the receptacle and protruding transversely inward. The ribs of the receptacle cooperate with the front part of the corresponding female terminal to center the front part of the corresponding female terminal with respect to the receptacle axis.

Power plug

The cable junction includes at least two electrical cables extending side by side, each including its own independent shield and a front end section where its independent shield is stripped off, a common shield surrounding the front end sections and the independent shields of the cables, and a clamping device for clamping the common shield on the independent shields. The clamping device includes internal clamping means for clamping the common shield on flanks of the independent shield sheaths.

Cable junction

The invention proposes a housing of an electrical connector including a contact holder and a front grid arranged for being mounted together, wherein: &#x2014;the contact holder includes channels for receiving electrical contacts within, each channel being limited by resilient members stressable by an electrical contact whose position in the channel is not correct; &#x2014;the front grid comprises a front panel with a plurality of transversal connecting windows for facing corresponding channels of the contact holder; characterized in that the housing includes members for locking the front grid to the contact holder by translating the front grid with respect to the contact holder according to a lateral direction.

This connector has snap-fit lock including a partially deformable locking member which is mounted on the housing so as to be axially slideable between an extended locking position and a retracted position; and a biasing spring which axially bias said locking member to its locking position. The locking member has a flexible beam including a tooth member adapted to engage a complementary locking projection of the counterpart connector, and to provide an axial stop therewith. The flexible beam is elastically deflectable on the axial path of the locking member, whereby the snap-fit effect is provided by elastic load, both axial and in flexion, of the flexible beam.

Electrical connector having improved releasable locking means

The invention relates to an electric connector element including a housing receiving first and second contacts; a first locking device for the first contacts, which can move between a release position and a locking position for the first contacts; a second locking device for the second contacts, which can move between a release position and a locking position for the second contacts; also including means for preventing maneuvering of the second locking device when the first locking device is not in a locking position for the first contacts.

Contact locking device for an electric connector and electric connector containing said device

The invention relates to a housing for a connector, including at least one contact-holder module, a frame for receiving this module and a stirrup which is used as an aid for coupling to an additional connector, which can be manoeuvred between a decoupling position and a coupling position between the housing and the additional connector, wherein the stirrup comprises means for retaining the module in a module lock position inside the frame.
