A device for connecting a shoe to a part of a sports article such as a bicycle pedal, of the type in which the shoe and the pedal comprise attachment members of complementary shapes, wherein the attachment members of the sole are comprised at least partly of alternations of depressions recessed into the outer envelope surface of the sole. The outer envelope surface of the sole is raised upwards ahead of the region of the attachment members of the sole.

Device for measuring speed of a cycle having a frame, at least one wheel, a fastening axle about which the wheel is adapted to rotate, and a nut adapted to be threaded upon a threaded portion of the axle. The device includes a mechanism for detecting the rotation of the wheel, the device including a fixed sensor mounted on a portion of the cycle frame, adapted to detect the passing of an associated movable sensor element fixed for movement to the wheel, as well as a signal processor for processing the signal generated by the fixed sensor. At least one of, or both, the fixed sensor and the signal processor are housed in a casing fixed to the nut of the fastening axle for the wheel. The casing is fixed to an arm extending radially from the nut.

Device for measuring speed, particularly for cycles

A sealing strip to be used with the rim of a wheel, particularly the rim of a so-called box section bicycle rim, as well as a rim equipped with such a sealing strip, and a wheel having such rim and sealing strip. The sealing strip is formed by a continuous annular strip having, in cross section, a median depression, forming a U-shaped radial groove provided to be positioned within in the central well of the rim, two lateral extensions provided to be supported upon on the interior edges of the rim that border of the well, and two lateral walls provided to extend along the flanges of the rim. The walls of the sealing strip are extended by a pair of lips that project toward the inside relative to the walls of the sealing strip, the lips being adapted to be positioned adjacent the lips of the rim.
