A method for detecting an analyte in a bodily fluid includes placing the detector in contact with at least one metabolite resulting from the metabolism or degradation of the analyte. The contact between the detector and the metabolite produces an optically detectable signal. The detection method includes the detection of the metabolite only in gas form, said metabolite in gas form coming from the evaporation of at least a part of said metabolite. The detection is also carried out without contact between the bodily fluid and the detector. A dressing for implementing the detection method is also described.

A method for extracting at least one chemical or biological compound from a liquid phase including at least one functionalized ionic liquid, via a liquid extracting fluid that is miscible with the ionic liquid, and a microfluidic system implementing the method. The extraction method includes moving, on one surface of a microfluidic system, at least one microdrop of the liquid phase into an extraction solution that includes the extracting fluid and that is localized on the surface to obtain in output of the solution, under effect of an electric field, an extract moving away from the surface that is rich in extracting fluid and enriched in the at least one compound, and a raffinate moving on the surface that is rich in ionic liquid and deleted in the at least one compound.

The present invention relates especially to a process for the localized distribution of drops of a liquid of interest on an active surface. The process comprises the following steps: an introduction of liquid of interest into a box containing the said active surface, and an extraction of liquid of interest from the said box, the said active surface and also the other surfaces inside the box being substantially non-wetting with respect to the liquid of interest, with the exception of several uptake areas localized on the said active surface, which are each suitable for taking up a drop of liquid of interest. The uptake areas may surround working areas. The present invention also relates to processes for the electrochemical and optical detection of at least one analyte in a liquid of interest, and to an electropolymerization process.
