An optical lens intended to be worn in front of an eye of a wearer having at least one prescribed refractive power Px, the optical lens comprising two opposite optical faces and a plurality of contiguous optical elements at least part of the optical elements having an optical function of not focusing an image on the retina of the eye of the wearer so as to slow down the progression of the abnormal refraction of the eye, wherein: —over a pupil having at least a 4 mm diameter, one can measure in a plane corresponding to the at least one prescribed refractive power along at least one direction, a Modulation Transfer Function through the optical lens greater than 0.1 between 0 and 20 cyc/deg; —a majority of the light rays passing through the optical lens over said pupil pass through at least one of the plurality of optical elements, and—each of the contiguous optical element verifies that Formula (I) with d a characteristic dimension of the contour of said optical element in mm, |P| the absolute value of a characteristic optical power of said optical element expressed in diopter, and K a number greater or equal to 0.9 and smaller than or equal to 1.7.

It is proposed a method for defining a design of an ophthalmic tinted lens provided with a turquoise blue ophthalmic filter. It is provided at least one optical parameter value that is prescribed with reference to a clear ophthalmic lens. At least one non-null optical power value is determined from said at least one prescribed optical parameter value. At least one reduction value is obtained. At least one reduced optical power value is calculated in function of said at least one non-null optical power value and said at least one reduction value. The ophthalmic tinted lens design is defined on the basis of said at least one reduced optical power value. Methods for defining a design of a first and a second ophthalmic tinted lens are also proposed. It is also proposed a corresponding ophthalmic tinted lens.

An optical element is configured to be worn in front of an eye of a wearer. The optical element has two main surfaces and includes at least one holographic diffusive element having diffusive properties resulting from spatial variations of refractive index of said holographic diffusive element. The spatial variation of refractive index is greater than 0.001 at at least one given wavelength, on a distance less than 30 μm. An optical equipment includes the optical element and methods for recording a holographic medium onto an optical lens.

An optical system intended to be worn in front of an eye of a wearer including an optical lens having at least a control point and an optical device that has a plurality of optical elements, the optical device being attached on a surface of the optical lens or encapsulated into the optical lens, wherein each optical element has simultaneously two different optical functions, and the optical device and the optical lens are configured so that the absolute value of the difference between a measured optical power at the control point of the optical system and the optical power corresponding to the prescription for said eye of the person is smaller than or equal to 0.12 diopter.

A method for manufacturing a lens element intended to be worn in front of an eye of a wearer, the method comprising obtaining a lens member comprising a holographic recording medium disposed on a first surface of the lens member, the holographic recording medium being configured to be able to convert an interference pattern into a holographic optical element, obtaining wearer prescription data relating at least to the prescription of the wearer, manufacturing a second surface of the lens member based on the wearer prescription data, and recording a holographic optical element within the holographic recording medium so as to provide an additional optical power of opposite sign to the prescribed optical power so as to slow down the progression of the abnormal refraction of the eye.

A method for evaluating an ophthalmic lens for a given wearer according to a visual performance parameter includes providing wearer's data for the given wearer. The method further includes providing a visual performance parameter tolerance range for the wearer. The method further includes providing an ophthalmic lens to be evaluated, the ophthalmic lens being characterized by opto-geometrical features. The method further includes computing a value of the visual performance parameter for the lens to be evaluated on the basis of a model.
