This invention relates to an on-board information system, including a central processing unit; a first non-rewritable memory containing a boot program; a volatile memory; and a second non-rewritable memory containing an operating system as well as a set of executable files. The boot program is configured to load the operating system and at least a portion of the executable files into the volatile memory when the on-board information system is initialized.

Self-restoring on-board information system

An ACARS message communications system including at least one on-board piece of equipment harbouring an application adapted for transmitting and/or receiving ACARS messages, and a router adapted for routing, via a plurality of subnetworks, ACARS messages from and/or to the application. The piece of equipment and the router are connected to an AFDX network and the application is adapted for dynamic registration at the router, via the network, the router only routing the messages if the application is actually registered thereat.

ACARS router for remote avionic applications

A system for routing ACARS messages towards a plurality of transmission media, configured to be loaded onboard an aircraft, including: a database including a plurality of routing profiles, each profile being formed by a list indicating a rank of preference for each transmission medium, and a selection mechanism extracting, from an ACARS message sending request, a routing profile identifier, and selecting in the routing profile stored in the database, corresponding to the identifier, a transmission medium, according to its rank of preference, the thereby selected transmission medium then being used for transmitting the message.

A device for emitting digital video images may include a picture-taking unit for producing the images and a unit for forming at least one signal in the field of vision of the picture-taking unit so that the signal appears in at least some of the images produced by the picture-taking unit. The signal is formed to vary temporally, making it possible to detect any image freeze emitted by the device.
