A protective helmet (), including a shell (), a cap () attached in the shell (), and a movable face shield () attached to the shell () by at least one assembly arrangement, which includes: a rod () connected to the shell () in an articulated manner about a first substantially transverse axis () and a second substantially transverse axis (); and a rail () positioned on the shield () and having at least one guide surface () that operates with at least one element () to guide the movement of the face shield () between a lowered and raised position and along, but spaced from, the shell ().

Protective helmet and face shield

A helmet includes a shell, a support element mounted on the shell, on the outer side thereof and above the facial opening, and at least a first visor mounted pivoting in relation to the shell around a pivot axis, between a lowered use position and a high retracted position. An articulating means is provided between the support element and the shell, to allow said support element to pivot in relation to the shell around a transverse axis situated in the vicinity of the back edge of the support element, between a lowered use position, in which said support element covers a portion of the shell, and a raised position. A locking means is also provided for locking the support element in the lowered position.

Protective helmet

A protective helmet including a rigid shell and an electronic connecting device mounted on the shell, the connecting device including an electronic circuit, first means for connecting said circuit to a power supply system, and second means for connecting said circuit to at least one accessory that can be mounted on the helmet, wherein the connecting device is mounted on the shell in an opening formed in said shell.

A helmet is particularly well suited for cold-weather use. The helmet includes a jaw shield that is detachable from a head portion. A breathing mask connects to the jaw shield via a mask adjustment mechanism that selectively axially moves the breathing mask toward and away from an inner surface of the jaw shield to precisely and accurately position the breathing mask against the nose and mouth of the helmet's wearer. A spring-loaded quick-release tinted shield is controlled by a lever that selectively raises and lowers the tinted shield. An eye shield pivotally connects to the helmet and is disposed in front of the tinted shield. An eye shield heating system on the eye shield electrically connects to the head portion of the helmet to provide electric power to the heating system.
