Control over the operation of a dimmable light is supported by an interface circuit between the dimmable light and a near-field radio frequency communication controller. The interface circuit includes a first circuit that receives at least one control set point through a near-field radio frequency communication issued by the near-field radio frequency communication controller. A second circuit of the interface generates one or more electric signals in pulse width modulation based on the control set point.

Dimmable light control system

Control over the operation of an electrically-controlled motor is supported by an interface circuit between the electrically-controlled motor and a near-field radio frequency communication controller. The interface circuit includes a first circuit that receives at least one control set point through a near-field radio frequency communication issued by the near-field radio frequency communication controller. A second circuit of the interface generates one or more electric signals in pulse width modulation based on the control set point.

A method to transmit data over a single-wire bus wherein a first communication channel is defined by pulses of different durations according to the state of the transmitted bit and depending on a reference duration, and a second communication channel is defined by the reference duration.

Single-wire bus communication protocol

A system includes a near-field communication device configured to transmit a radio frequency control signal in a near-field regime and an interface. The interface includes a near-field communication circuit configured to receive the RF control signal. The interface further includes a pulse width modulation signal generation circuit configured to generate a pulse width modulation signal according to the radio frequency control signal. The system further includes an electrically-controllable equipment configured to be controlled by the pulse width modulation signal.

Control system using near-field communication

A circuit includes a near-field communication circuit configured to receive a radio frequency control signal transmitted in a near-field regime, a pulse width modulation signal generation circuit coupled to the near-field communication circuit circuit and configured to generate a pulse width modulation signal according to the radio frequency control signal, and a non-volatile memory coupled to both the near-field communication circuit circuit and the pulse width modulation signal generation circuit, the non-volatile memory comprising digital words for configuring the pulse width modulation signal.

Near-field communication circuit, interface, and system

A method of reducing noise generated by pulse width modulation (PWM) signals includes generating a PWM pulse train using a first set of parameter values and modifying the PWM pulse train during a near-field communication so that the PWM pulse train is generated using a second set of parameter values. Modifying the PWM pulse train includes reducing at least one parameter value of the first set of parameter values. The method further includes resuming generation of the PWM pulse train using the first set of parameter values after the near-field communication.

An electromagnetic transponder includes an antenna circuit, a load, and a charge pump transistor having a current path coupled between the antenna circuit and the load. During operation, a retromodulated signal is transmitted at a first level by biasing the charge pump transistor during a first time period such that an impedance of the antenna circuit has a first impedance value and current flows from the antenna circuit to the load. A retromodulated signal at a second level is transmitted by biasing the charge pump transistor during a second time period such that the impedance of the antenna circuit has a second impedance value different than the first impedance value and current flows from the antenna circuit to the load. The retromodulated signals are transmitted at the first and second levels in a sequence determined to transmit information from the electromagnetic transponder.

Method for modulating the impedance of an antenna circuit

A method of conversion by at least one interface circuit connected between a first bus including at least one data wire and one clock wire, and at least one second single-wire bus, of a transmission between a master circuit connected to the first bus and at least one slave circuit connected to the second bus, wherein a speculative read command is sent to the slave circuit before interpreting the state of a bit for controlling a reading or a writing, originating from the master circuit.

Conversion of a two-wire bus into a single-wire bus

An electromagnetic transponder includes an antenna circuit capable of providing signals to a charge pump. The pump includes a first transistor connected to a first capacitor. The transponder also includes means for applying a voltage alternating between first and second values between the gate and the conduction terminal on the side of the first capacitor of the first transistor.

Method for modulating the impedance of an antenna circuit while receiving wireless power

A method and a circuit for detecting a radio-frequency signal, including at least one first MOS transistor with a channel of a first type, having its gate coupled to an input terminal capable of receiving said signal; a circuit for biasing the first transistor, capable of biasing it to a level lower than its threshold voltage; and a circuit for determining the average value of the current in the first transistor.

Detector of a radio-frequency signal

An oscillator is provided that includes an oscillating structure generating an output signal with a frequency that drifts as a function of a parameter of its environment, and a compensation circuit coupled to the oscillating structure. The oscillating structure has a ring structure that includes delay cells looped together, and the compensation circuit supplies a compensation signal to the oscillating structure. The compensation signal varies as a function of changes in the parameter in order to compensate for the drift in the frequency of the generated signal. This makes it possible to compensate for oscillator temperature drifts in the absence of a regulation loop.
