A foldable portable terminal device is disclosed. In one aspect, the device includes a flexible display configured to display an image and a foldable body accommodating the flexible display on a front side thereof. The device also includes first and second guide members disposed on opposing sides of the flexible display, wherein the first and second guide members are disposed on the front side of the body and extend in a length direction of the body. A first region of the body is configured to be folded so as to face a second region of the body. The first and second guide members are configured to guide an end of the first region to move in the length direction of the body while maintaining a predetermined interval with respect to the second region.

Provided is a method of detaching a display module. The method of detaching the display module includes providing a carrier substrate, forming a display module, which is divided into a first area and a second area, on the carrier substrate, disposing a protective film covering the first area and exposing the second area on the display module, performing a first detaching process of detaching the second area from the carrier substrate by using a first detaching unit, and performing a second detaching process of detaching the protective film and the display module from the carrier substrate by using a second detaching unit.

The method also includes attaching a first protection film onto a first surface of the display panel in the film attachment portion, wherein the first surface is located opposite to a second surface of the display panel that faces the carrier. The method also includes first transferring the first stage to a carrier separation portion, separating the display panel from the carrier, and second transferring the display panel to a second stage such that the attached protection film is pulled onto a second film adsorption surface of the second stage.

An electrophoretic display apparatus includes a first substrate including a plurality of pixels, a second substrate facing the first substrate, an electrophoretic material between the first and second substrates, and a first electrode on the first substrate or the second substrate. Each pixel includes a reflection part and a second electrode. The reflection part is on the first substrate and reflects light incident through the second substrate. The second electrode is on the first substrate and adjacent to the reflection part. The second electrode forms an electric field with the first electrode such that the electrophoretic material moves to the first electrode or the second electrode. An upper surface of the second electrode is positioned at a first height from the first substrate, and an upper surface of an uppermost layer of the reflection part is positioned at a second height higher than the first height.

Electrophoretic display apparatus

An electrowetting display panel includes an array substrate, a cover substrate, an electrowetting layer, and a hydrophobic pattern. The array substrate includes a display area and a peripheral area surrounding the display area and the cover substrate faces the array substrate. The electrowetting layer is disposed between the array substrate and the cover substrate and includes a polar fluid as a first fluid and a non-polar fluid as a second fluid. The hydrophobic pattern is disposed in the peripheral area.
