A system for use-case software development includes an interface renderer for interpreting a user interface definition code and displaying a user interface, a request dispatcher for processing a request from the interface renderer, and a request handler for processing the request and checking a use-case name contained in the request. The system further includes a use-case handling program, invoked by the request handler, for performing logic defined by a use-case corresponding to the use-case name and according to a use-case state and returning an interface definition specifying an interface layout and controls that are interpretable by the interface renderer, and a server page container for receiving the interface definition and providing the user interface definition code to the interface renderer.

Server-page based software architecture enabling use-case oriented evolutionary software prototyping

A web-based system for visual construction of logical rules includes a server, a network, and client operatively connected to the server via the network. The server includes a database and a search engine. The client includes a web-based visual rule building application including selectable windows for displaying and visually editing terms, logical operators, logical rules for storage in the database. The logical rules are generated by visually selecting at least one of the terms and logical operators from the windows. The server may further include a search engine configured to perform at least one of a direct search or a contextual search for an entered query string in records stored in the database and the client may include a visual interface for displaying results of the searches. The search results generated by the search engine may be stored as terms in the database for subsequent rule generation.

Contextual searching of electronic records and visual rule construction

A configuration operation set for configuring a system element is tested by simulating execution of the control operation set with simulation sample test data. The configuration operation set is received via a configuration user interface in a configuration view. Simulation sample test data is received via a simulation user interface in a simulation view. The configuration view and the simulation view may be simultaneously viewed on a display. In a single session, a control operation set may be received, simulation sample test data may be received, a simulation may be run, and the results of the simulation may be viewed. If the results of the simulation agree with expected results, the control operation set may be saved, and executed in the system element of interest. If the results of the simulation do not agree with the expected results, the control operation set may be cancelled.
