A hydraulic expanding chuck for receiving and clamping a tool with a shank. The hydraulic expanding chuck has a main body, which on an axial side has a clamping section that extends along a longitudinal central axis of the expanding chuck and has a clamping part lying in a neck region and in which are formed a central receiving opening for receiving a tool shank and a chamber system to which a fluid pressure can be applied. The chamber system comprises at least one pressure chamber, which is separated from the receiving opening in the radial direction by an expansion wall yielding elastically under the fluid pressure, and which can be supplied with fluid pressure by means of at least one axial pressure channel running from a piston clamping mechanism accommodated in a clamping region of the hydraulic expanding chuck.

Hydraulic expanding chuck

A tool comprising a cutting section on which a multiplicity of blades or cutting edges and flutes are formed; a shank section, which forms a chucking section on a side which faces away from the cutting section, wherein a number of fluid channels which corresponds to the number of flutes is formed in the chucking section in such a manner that the fluid which emerges from axial discharge openings of the chucking section can be fed in a free jet along the shank into in each case one associated flute of the cutting section. Also, a method for supplying the blades of such a tool.

Rotatably drivable cutting tool

A tool comprising a cutting section, on which a multiplicity of blades or cutting edges and flutes are formed; a shank section, which forms a chucking section on a side which faces away from the cutting section, wherein a number of fluid channels which corresponds to the number of flutes is formed in the chucking section, which channels in each case have an axial discharge opening and lead along the shank to an associated flute of the cutting section. Also, a method for supplying the blades of such a tool with a pressurized fluid.

Cutting tool

A rotor, used particularly in a rotating tool for machining workpieces, includes a rotor base body with locations, which are formed on the periphery thereof in an interspaced manner and which are suited for fitting the rotor with functional elements. The rotor base body includes a first, radially outer base body element and a second, radially inner base body element. When the rotor is not rotating, a jointing pressure prevails along an encircling joining line, which is formed between both base body elements. The second, radially inner base body element has a higher modulus of elasticity than that of the first, radially outer base body element.

Rotor

A drilling tool comprising at least one machined groove and at least one web which extend from a tip of the tool to the shank of the tool. A main cutting edge and an inner cooling channel are formed on each web. Said cooling channel extends from the tip to an opposite drill end and has a continuously extending cross-sectional contour enclosing an imaginary circle with a center point. The cross-sectional contour preferably comprises two maximum curvature values whose distance to the drill axis is greater in the direction of a line between the center point and the drill axis or equal to the distance of the center point to the drill axis. Preferably, minimum wall thicknesses exist between the inner cooling channel and (1) the outer periphery of the drill, (2) the machined surface and (3) the non-machined surface, between a minimum and a maximum.

Cooling channel geometry

A coupling () for use between the modules of a modular tool holder arm, in particular a machine tool, with a male coupling part (), forming the end of a first module and containing a central, axially symmetrical journal (), and a female coupling part (), forming the end of a second module connected to the first module and containing a central, axially symmetrical seat (). In the engaged state, the two coupling parts form a shaft-hub seat () as a first transmission location and at least one other transmission location. At least under load, a first stress field () develops in the first transmission location, and another stress field () develops in the at least one other transmission location, wherein separation () of the first transmission location from the at least one other transmission location is provided, so that the respective stress field () is formed without being impacted by the respective other transmission location(s).

Heavy-duty coupling for tool holder arms of modular design

A clamping system includes a clamping device that is coaxially located in a receiving section and that extends into the hollow shaft of one piece when two pieces are joined. The clamping system further includes two clamping bodies that can be displaced in opposite directions and an actuating device that drives the clamping bodies. The actuating device displaces the clamping bodies in a synchronous manner into an engaged relation and a disengaged relation with an undercut clamping shoulder of the hollow shaft, whereby a pressure force is applied between the flat surfaces of the two pieces to be connected.

Clamping system for high speeds

A clamping system for detachably assembling two pieces. The clamping system includes a clamping device concentrically mounted in a receiving section which extends in a hollow shaft of one of the two pieces, when the two pieces are engaged. The clamping system further includes at least two clamping bodies which can move in opposite directions and an actuating device which actuates the clamping bodies. The clamping bodies can be engaged with an undercut clamping shoulder of the hollow shaft and disengaged therefrom, whereby a pressure force is applied between the flat surfaces of the two pieces to be assembled.
