A spray nozzle system for vehicle washing apparatus is disclosed featuring a modular construction in which nearly identical base oscillating nozzle spray units are used for the sides, top, and front and rear nozzle sets. Each spray unit includes a bracket module and attached motor-drive module, and an additional bracket module can be connected end to end to create a doubling of nozzle sets in the unit. The bracket module rotatably supports a nozzle set mounting spray nozzle manifold shaft of either single or double length, supplied by a rotary fluid coupling clamped in a bracket included in each bracket module. The spray nozzle module shaft is oscillated by the motor drive module.

A side washer installation for an automatic car wash line in which each side washer is bottom mounted on a mounting arrangement comprised of a swing arm having upwardly extending drive shaft over which the washer is mounted. An internal web plate is secured within each washer cylinder which rests atop a flange attached to the drive shaft, the flange bolted to the web plate at assembly. The drive motor and associated hardware are located beneath each side washer to remove this componentry from the field of view of the occupants of vehicles passing down the wash line. A subgrade plumbing system for the hydraulic motors and also spray materials is routed through a network of subgrade plumbing chases extending beneath the concrete surfaces and having stubs adjacent each washer for enabling installation of the plumbing system.

An auto conveyor is disclosed of type in which chain driven pusher rollers engage a vehicle tire running along a track, while guide rollers support the pusher rollers above the guide track. A low profile, guide-pusher roller assembly is provided configured to avoid contact of the tire with the guide roller in which the pusher rollers are constituted by large diameter sleeves are rotated on a stationary sleeve, and smaller diameter guide rollers are mounted on either end of an axle shaft passing within the diameter of the sleeve. The guide roller perimeters protrude below the perimeter of the pusher rollers to support each pusher roller above the guide track.
