A method for executing a script code of an application, the method being implemented via an electronic device, called a calling resource, within which the application is executable. The method includes: obtaining the script code having a set of projectable objects, a projectable object having at least one function executable at a destination execution resource; preparing a transmission data structure of at least one projectable object obtained beforehand, the transmission data structure associating at least one indexing data to each projectable object of the script code; transmitting, to the destination execution resource, the transmission data structure; and subsequently to execution, by the destination execution resource, of at least one function of the at least one projectable object of the transmission data structure: receiving a data structure of execution results of the at least one function; and integrating execution results of the execution results data structure within the calling resource.

The present disclosure provides modular electronic devices that are capable of managing task performance based on a particular context of computing resources currently available from the ad hoc combination of devices.

Systems and methods of determining network configurations for a modular computing entity are disclosed. For instance, a desired functionality to be implemented by a modular computing entity can be identified. Capacity data associated with one or more candidate network devices that are available to join a network associated with the modular computing entity is received. A network combination to implement the desired functionality can be determined based at least in part on the received capacity data. The network combination can include at least a subset of the candidate network devices.

The present disclosure provides modular electronic devices that are capable of predicting future availability of module combinations and associated computing resources and/or capable of predicting future tasks. Based on such predictions, the module or modular electronic device can choose to schedule or delay certain tasks, alter resource negotiation behavior/strategy, or select from among various different resource providers. As an example, a modular electronic device of the present disclosure can identify one or more computing tasks to be performed; predict one or more future sets of computing resources that will be respectively available to the modular electronic device at one or more future time periods; and determine a schedule for performance of the one or more computing tasks based at least in part on the prediction of the one or more future sets of computing resources that will be respectively available at the one or more future time periods.

Systems and methods are provided for managing task performance for a modular electronic device. In one implementation, a modular electronic device can include one or more electronic modular components. The modular electronic device can identify a computational task associated with the modular electronic device and identify one or more computing devices that are available to perform at least a portion of the computational task. The modular electronic device can obtain one or more sets of data associated with one or more computational resources of the computing devices. The modular electronic device can determine a potential benefit to the modular electronic device associated with the performance of the computational task by the computing devices. The modular electronic device can perform at least a portion of the computational task with the computing devices based, at least in part, on the sets of data associated with the computational resources and the potential benefit.

A method and compiling device are provided for compiling a software application to be executed on a virtual machine of a physical platform. The software application originally is in the form of a set of codes to be compiled. The method includes a phase of selectively compiling the set of codes to be compiled, outputting a compiled application including a first application part which is executed by the virtual machine using commands from the virtual machine, and a second application part including binary commands which can be executed directly on the physical platform.

In some illustrative embodiments, a computer-readable medium storing a program that, when executed by a processor, performs a method for virtual memory management is provided. The method includes creating a representation of a page table, wherein each entry of the representation comprises a representation of a page descriptor, changing a field of a representation of a page descriptor in the representation of the page table, and updating a corresponding field in a page descriptor of a system level page table using the contents of the field in the representation of the page descriptor. Some illustrative embodiments provide a computer-readable medium storing a program that, when executed by a processor, performs a method for virtual memory management that includes creating a representation of a segment descriptor, changing a field of the representation of the segment descriptor, and updating a corresponding field in a system level segment descriptor using the contents of the field in the representation of the segment descriptor.

A method for compiling an original application written in an intermediate code, in which the original application is executed by means of a virtual machine. The method supplies a native application having a native binary code.
