A process for preparing an epoxy resin and a process for preparing a hardened and cured epoxy resin adhesive is provided, together with the epoxy resins and adhesives made thereby. The epoxy resin is prepared by mixing together about 76 parts per hundred of a novolac epoxy resin, about 19 parts per hundred of a bisphenol F epoxy resin, and about 5 parts per hundred of carboxy-terminated butadiene acrylonitrile, heating the mixture to a temperature of from about 290 to about 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a time of from about two to about three hours, and then cooling. An epoxy adhesive is prepared by mixing 100 parts of the material so prepared with about 20 parts of a curing agent consisting essentially of diethyltriamine. The resulting adhesive mixture has a paste-like consistency that is easily applied and cured at ambient temperature. The shear strength of the cured adhesive is about 4000 psi at ambient temperature and about 2000 psi at 250 degrees Fahrenheit. The cured adhesive has excellent peel strength, indicating ductility and toughness. It also exhibits acceptably low levels of particle outgassing, permitting its use in spacecraft applications.

A one-piece gasket is used between millimeter waveguide sections to prevent energy leakage from the joint. The gasket consists of an electrically conductive elastomeric ring filled with metallic particles, a conformable metallic inner shield on the inner periphery of the ring, and a conformable metallic outer shield on the outer periphery of the ring. Addressing primarily the needs of physically incapacitated individuals, this invention is a device connected to a common toilet for aiding such individuals in their cleansing of their private body parts with an apparatus that has a unique seat that seals fluids beneath the body of the user. The apparatus is basically an automatic cleansing device that one can connect to a toilet for spraying a warm water-soap solution followed by the spray of a warm water rinsing fluid and completed with the automatic flushing of the toilet as well as the blowing of heated air across the user's private body parts for drying the private body parts; this device is controlled in a variety of ways including electric switches, timers, or other manually operated mechanisms.

Automated cleansing apparatus adaptable to a commode

This invention provides a cart for positioning an individual's body on a toilet. It is particularly advantageous for transporting a handicapped person to such toilet and automatically aligning the handicapped person's body above the toilet. The cart has castors for easy rolling and also has guiding rollers that center the individual's body over the toilet when the cart is rolled backwardly over the toilet. The invention also incorporates a pneumatic system for raising the individual's body above the height of the toilet's seat when the body is pushed over the toilet and for, subsequently, lowering the individual's body onto the toilet seat in a position that enables use of the toilet by the individual.

A collapsible sawhorse is provided in which the legs are pivotally mounted relative to each other for movement between a conventional load supporting sawhorse position and a collapsed position.
