An image sensor cell () is presented for use in an imaging device, for example of a night vision type. The image sensor cell () comprises an electrodes' assembly and a control unit (). The electrodes' assembly is configured and operable to receive an input light signal and produce a corresponding electrical signal. The electrodes' assembly comprises a photocathode () having an active region capable of emitting electrons in response to incident light; and at least one electrode () in a path of electrons emitted from the photocathode (). The control unit () is configured and operable for controlling an electric field profile in said path so as to selectively cause the electrons' capture on said at least one electrode () resulting in accumulation of charge on said at least one electrode () corresponding to the input electromagnetic signal indicative of an acquired image, thereby enabling direct reading of the accumulated charge. The image sensor cell () thus provides for direct conversion of a light signal into an electric signal indicative thereof.

Image sensor cell for night vision

An electronic memory device includes at least one basic unit, which is configured as a memory cell for storing at least one bit of information. The basic unit includes a vacuum cavity for free charge carriers propagation therethrough, a region of charge carriers emission or entry into the vacuum cavity, an anode electrode which are kept under controllable voltage conditions, and at least one floating gate electrode accommodated in a path of the free charge carriers propagating through the vacuum cavity between the emission or entry region and the anode. The floating gate electrode serves for storing therein a charge indicative of the at least one bit of information.

Non-volatile memory device

An electronic device is presented for performing at least one logic function. The device comprises an electron emission based electrode arrangement associated with an electron extractor. The electrode arrangement comprises at least one basic unit including a photocathode, an anode, and one or more gates arranged aside a cavity defined between the photocathode and the anode. Said one or more gates are connectable to a voltage supply unit to be operated by one or more input voltages signals corresponding to one or more logical values, respectively. Said anode is operable as a floating electrode from which an electrical output of the device indicative of a resulted logic function is read. The anode is electrically connected to a photocathode of another cathode-anode unit of the same device, or is connected to an electrode of another electronic device.

Electrical device for performing logic functions

An analog real-time signal processing device and method are presented. The device is configured to perform electrical signal processing. The device comprises an electronic circuit including at least one basic unit of electrodes, the basic unit being configured to be sensitive to an external field, such as input photon flux, indicative of a first input signal to cause emission of charged particles and configured to define at least one electrical input for a second input signal and one electrical output, thereby providing the electrical output in the form of an approximation of a product of the first and second input signals.

Device and method for signal processing

An electronic device is presented which is configured to operate as at least one logic gate. The device comprises an electrodes arrangement of one or more basic units, the basic unit being configured to define at least one vacuum space for free charged particles' propagation and comprising an input assembly for supplying an input signal, and a floating electrode assembly accommodated proximal said input assembly and serving for reading an output signal therefrom, the floating electrode arrangement being configured to define at least one source of the free charged particles and at least one target toward which the charged particles are directed and is chargeable and dischargeable in response to the input signal thereby creating the output of the basic unit.

Electronic device and method and performing logic functions

An electro-optical modulator device and method are provided. The device comprises a light modulator unit having a first Cathode for exposing to input light; and an electric field source configured to create an electric field affecting a change in the refractive index of the first Cathode, thereby effecting a change in the propagation of light reflected from or transmitted through the first Cathode, said light from the first Cathode enabling to affect the operation of an external light sensitive electronic device.
