An extendable controller having a first handle part; a second handle part; an elongate bridge with a first half in sliding engagement with a first bridge-link portion of the first handle part and a second half in sliding engagement with a second bridge-link portion of the second handle part; and an extendable arrangement to synchronously extend and retract the first handle part and the second handle part uniformly in opposite directions relative to the elongate bridge along an extension axis. The extendable arrangement includes a dual-reciprocating-opposite-motion-carrier system having a first reciprocating carrier, a second reciprocating carrier, an opposite motion mechanism to move the first reciprocating carrier and the second reciprocating carrier in opposite directions with respect to the extension axis, a first elongate member coupling the first handle part to the first reciprocating carrier, and a second elongate member coupling the second handle part to the second reciprocating carrier.

Extendable controller

An extendable controller including a handle part; an elongate bridge retractably extendable with respect to the handle part; and a link member disposed therebetween. An end portion of the elongate bridge is in sliding engagement with the link member so as to be retractably extendable relative to the link member. The link member is movable relative to the handle part between a retracted position and an extended position. The extendable controller further including a movement control arrangement operatively connected between the link member and the handle part to restrain the link member from moving between the retracted position and the extended position when the link member is in the retracted position and in the extended position respectively, wherein the movement control arrangement includes an input interface operable to release the link member from being restrained such that the link member is movable between the retracted position and the extended position.

An extendable mechanism may include an extension member. The extendable mechanism may further include a link member which is provided with an extension-member-guide element. The extension member may be in engagement with the extension-member-guide element of the link member in a manner so as to be retractably extendable from the link member in an extension direction along an axis of the extension member. The extendable mechanism may further include a link-member-guide element for being disposed at the body structure. The link member may be in engagement with the link-member-guide element in a manner so as to be retractably extendable from the link-member-guide element in the extension direction. The extendable mechanism may further include a biasing member for being arranged between the link member and the body structure. A controller may include a controller body and the extendable mechanism.

Extendable mechanism and controller with extendable mechanism

A control stick including a stick assembly including: an outer tube-like opaque wall; an annular light guide structure disposed inside the outer tube-like opaque wall in a concentric manner wherein an annular end surface of the annular light guide structure is flushed with a first end of the outer tube-like opaque wall; and an elongated central axial member fitted inside the annular light guide structure and held by the annular light guide structure. A first axial end of the elongated central axial member is directed in a same first direction as the first end of the outer tube-like opaque wall. A second axial end of the elongated central axial member includes a control-engagement-element for engaging with a control stick mechanism. The control stick further including at least one light source disposed to transmit light to the annular light guide structure which is directed to the annular end surface thereof.
