Disclosed herein is a laundry or cleaning composition comprising (i) from about 0.001 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of at least one cationic polymer selected from the group consisting of poly acrylamidopropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride Poly(APTAC), polydiallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride poly(DADMAC), copolymers of polyAPTAC, copolymers of polyDADMAC, terpolymers of polyAPTAC, and/or terpolymers of polyDADMAC; (ii) from about 0.01 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of at least one non-ionic surfactant; (iii) optionally, from about 0.001 wt. % to about 5 wt. % of at least one enzyme; and (iv) optionally, from about 0.01 wt. % to about 25 wt. % of at least one laundry or cleaning additive, wherein said composition is capable of exhibiting color wash fastness or color maintenance.

Also, disclosed is a process of preparing said ter/tetra polymer, and its method of use.

Personal care composition for a keratin substrate comprising conditioning and/or styling polymer

The presently disclosed and/or claimed inventive concept(s) relates generally to the use of nonionic hydrophobically modified polysaccharides in personal care and household care compositions. More specifically, but not by way of limitation, the presently disclosed and/or claimed inventive concept(s) relates to the use of hydrophobically-modified cellulose ethers, such as hydrophobically-modified hydroxyethylcellulose (HMHEC) polymers in personal care and household care compositions. These compositions show pronounced syneresis in aqueous solutions or in the presence of surfactants, including nonionic surfactants and anionic surfactants such as lauryl sulfate (LS) and lauryl ether sulfate (LES). It is also contemplated that the surfactants used in the compositions be sulfate free and/or multi-tailed.

The present invention relates to polygalactomannan compositions, and more particularly cationic guar gum compositions, which, when crosslinked with glyoxal, from discrete guar particles which are capable of being easily dispersed in water which permits subsequent processing of the guar, such as washing.
