It is the object of the present invention to provide a centrifugal blower fan capable of reducing a noise in an operating rotational speed range without degradation in bl&#xe0;wer performance. A centrifugal blower fan comprises a base plate, and a plurality of fan blades arranged on the base plate in a radial pattern to define a plurality of air passages between the pairs of adjacent fan blades, respectively. A portion of the base plate serving as a bottom wall of each of the air passages is formed with a plurality of through-holes.

A power blower includes a frame, and a blower mounted on the frame. An air intake port of the blower faces the frame. There is provided an air intake space between the blower and the frame. A debris-catching cover is constructed between the frame side and the blower side in a state in which it is mounted on both the frame and blower sides. The debris-catching cover inhibits debris from being sucked from the air intake space into the air intake port.

There is provided a portable air blowing working machine capable of obviating frequent operation for the maintenance of air cleaner and hence capable of improving working efficiency. This working machine includes an internal combustion engine having the air cleaner disposed in the air-intake system thereof, and an air blower to be rotationally driven by the engine; which is characterized in that the air cleaner is provided with a suction port for in drawing in external air, with a filter member for cleaning air drawn from the suction port to thereby permit the cleaned air to be introduced into the engine, and with a discharge port for enabling part of the air drawn from the suction port to be discharged out of the air cleaner without permitting part of the air to pass through the filter member; and that an air flow directed to flow from the suction port to the discharge port is permitted to generate inside the air cleaner by making use of the suction force of the air blower.

A starter which is capable of smoothly and reliably starting an internal combustion engine even though an electric motor employed is relatively small in size and output, thereby making it possible to minimize power consumption of the electric motor, to miniaturize the capacity of battery, to reduce the total weight of the starter, to enhance the durability of the starter, and to suppress the generation of failure of the starter. This starter comprises a buffering/power-accumulating means disposed midway along a power transmission system between a driving member and a driven member, wherein the buffering/power-accumulating means is enabled, during the driving process, to accumulate the power supplied through the driving process while alleviating any impact to the driven member, the accumulated power being subsequently employed to drive the driven member, and wherein the driving member is an electric motor.

Starter

The present invention is directed to split bodies for assembling a synthetic resin blower fan by a hollow article molding process. The split bodies have a first split body which includes a circular base portion and vanes extending radially and a second split body assembled on top of said first split body and is in a doughnut-shaped cap with an air inlet at the center thereof. Air channels are formed between adjacent pair of the vanes. The second split body includes a plurality of grooves which are formed on an inner surface opposite from the first split body in an assembled state. Each of the grooves extends radially along an edge of a corresponding vane and is adapted to be closed by the edge so as to define a flow path for allowing a molten synthetic resin to pass therethrough. The second split body further includes an injection hole which is in fluid communication with an upstream end of the flow path with respect to the flow direction of the molten synthetic resin to be injected so as to allow the molten synthetic resin to be injected into the flow path therethrough.

A vibration-isolating member is formed of an elastic material, and has a mounting hole at the center thereof, a large diameter section at an end of the mounting hole, a groove at the periphery of the large diameter section, and a flange. One of a vibration-source-side member and a vibration-receiving member is fitted into each of the large diameter section and the groove. An end opposite from the large diameter section is secured to one of the vibration-receiving member and the vibration-source-side member by a mounting member. Since the inside diameter of the large diameter section is larger than any other part of the mounting hole, either of the vibration-source-side member or the vibration-receiving member and the mounting member can be received. The flange prevents the vibration-isolating member from disengaging from one of the vibration-source-side member and the vibration-receiving member.

An engine cutter which is simple in structure and low in manufacturing cost. This engine cutter comprises a disk cutter, an air-cooled internal combustion engine for rotating the disk cutter, a safety cover partially encasing the disk cutter, and a dust-trapping portion which is mounted on the safety cover for trapping and discharging dust to be generated from a cutting work by the disk cutter; and is characterized in that only single fan to be driven by the engine is provided not only for generating an air flow for sucking and discharging the dust that has been trapped in the dust-trapping portion but also for generating a cooling air flow for cooling the internal combustion engine.

A dust collector-equipped power cutter includes a prime mover, a cutter, a dust-sucking fan, and a belt-driven power transmission mechanism for transmitting rotation from the prime mover to the cutting disk and to the dust-sucking fan. The belt-driven power transmission mechanism is constructed such that the rotation of the prime mover is transmitted through a single belt to a cutter-driving pulley for the cutting disk and to a fan-driving pulley for the dust-sucking fan.

A power cutter which comprises a main body provided with a motor, a work-cutting portion including a circular cutting blade to be rotated by the motor and a safety cover covering both sides of an edge portion of the cutting blade so as to form a dust-discharging passageway, a fan attached to the safety cover for sucking and removing dust generated during cutting operations through the dust-discharging passage, a barrier wall attached to the safety cover so as to intercept the dust-discharging passageway, and a main dust-sucking port and a supplementary dust-sucking port disposed respectively in front of and behind the barrier wall as viewed in the rotational direction of the cutting blade.

Power cutter

A dust collector-equipped power cutter, which is easy to handle in operation and convenient for storage and transportation thereof and is capable of preventing dusty air from flowing back to the cutter portion when a cutting operation is interrupted, includes a main body, a cutter, a dust-sucking fan, and a dust hose assembly. The dust hose assembly includes a first dust hose section and a second dust hose section and a hose connector joining the first hose section and the second hose section. Each of the hose sections has a spiral rib on an outer peripheral surface, and the hose connector has a spiral groove on an inner wall of each end portion, the dust hose section and the hose connector being adapted to be interconnected with each other through a threaded engagement between the spiral rib and the spiral groove. The hose connector is provided with a check valve to prevent back flow when a cutting operation is interrupted or terminated.

A blower pipe is disclosed which is substantially prevented from being damaged, which is easily applicable even to a varied operation site to thereby attain improved operating characteristics, and which can be produced at a reduced cost. The blower pipe (31) is utilized in a power blower, and has its upstream end formed into proximal connecting means (33) and its downstream end formed into a blow-off opening (32), and has its bottom portion (36) provided with an arc-shaped expanded portion (34) in the vicinity of the blow-off opening (32).

A working machine such as a power blower has a blower pipe with a silencer. The blower pipe has an outer pipe and a perforated inner pipe, with a sound absorbing material disposed between the inner and outer pipes. For ease of handling in use of the power blower, the outer pipe has substantially constant diameter. For ease of storage, the pipe is detachable.

In a portable work machine having a prime mover, a driven unit such as a fan to be driven by the prime mover, a machine case made of synthetic resin and including an inlet port case, a central case and an engine case, a bottom portion of the central case is integrally formed with stands each having a hollow which opens at one side end of the bottom portion. A cutting is formed in the bottom portion to provide the hollow with an upper wall which opens partly. The bottom of the stand is formed with a raised edge.
