Aspects relate to signaling relating to a non-linearity model for power amplifier circuitry of a transmitting device. The power amplifier circuitry may apply digital pre-distortion (DPD) to a signal prior to amplification and transmission of the signal. A receiving device may apply digital post-distortion (DPoD) to a signal received from the transmitting device where the DPoD is based on the non-linearity model. The transmitting device may send to the receiving device non-linearity parameters for the non-linearity model.

The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support demodulation reference signal sharing across user equipments (UEs) supporting over the air (OTA) digital pre-distortion (DPD). For example, the described techniques provide for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sharing across UEs supporting OTA DPD. A network entity may share a full DMRS pattern with multiple frequency-division multiplexed (FDMed) UEs. Based on the shared DMRS pattern, the UEs may evaluate the non-linear impairment by estimating non-linearity (NL) compensation function coefficients. Each of the UEs may indicate, to the network entity, their estimated NL compensation function coefficients. The network entity may apply an updated NL compensation function based on the NL compensation function coefficients from the various UEs and transmit a downlink transmission according to the updated NL compensation function.

The techniques described herein relate to schemes for channel aware tone reservation (CATR) contention with a reference signal. A network entity determines, based on a reference signal pattern, a reference signal resource element within a first slot of a channel for transmitting a reference signal. The network entity determines, based on a CATR pattern, an initial CATR resource element. The CATR pattern is based on a channel frequency response of the channel. The network entity determines a CATR resource element based on the reference signal resource element, the initial CATR resource element, and a resource element scheme of multiple resource element schemes. The multiple resource element schemes resolve a contention between an overlap of the reference signal resource element and the initial CATR resource element. The network entity transmits an indication of the CATR resource element to a user equipment.

Schemes for channel aware tone reservation contention with reference signals

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for early termination of decoding attempts, including decoding attempts associated with physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates that are encoded using a rateless code. In some aspects, a transmitting device may encode a message using a rateless code associated with a cumulative encoding of various portions of the message, and using a device identifier or group identifier as an input to the encoding. Similarly, a receiving device may receive an encoded signal over candidate resources and may attempt to decode the signal in accordance with the rateless code and using a device identifier or a group identifier as an input to the decoding. As such, intended or non-intended receiving device may be able to evaluate whether to proceed with a decoding attempt or to terminate a decoding attempt at a relatively early stage.

In some aspects, a first wireless device may estimate a power amplifier (PA) non-linearity associated with a second wireless device using select signaling from the second wireless device. For example, the first wireless device may use a received signal to estimate the PA non-linearity if a dynamic power range associated with the signal triggers the estimation of the PA non-linearity (such as if the dynamic power range associated with the signal satisfies, or is expected to satisfy, a threshold dynamic power range). If the dynamic power range of the signal triggers the estimation of the PA non-linearity, the first wireless device may introduce DPoD to signaling received from the second wireless device in accordance with the estimation of the PA non-linearity.

Non-linearity estimation techniques for digital post distortion (DPoD) in a wireless system

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may determine a number of resources for next transmissions following a first transmission. For example, a user equipment (UE) may calculate an average mutual information (MI) of a single log likelihood ratio (LLR) and an MI for each code block. The UE may transmit feedback indicating a quantity of resources to achieve a target MI based on the calculated averages. A wireless device may monitor a feedback buffer utilization associated with the UE. A network entity may retransmit existing code blocks or output a transmission using repetition based on the monitoring and utilization thresholds. The network entity may indicate to the UE a latency level code block attribute and increase a quantity of resources for following retransmissions by a boosting factor based on the latency level and a threshold.
