A bearing unit includes rolling bodies between radially inner and outer rings and a seal element extending between the rings, the seal element including a metallic shield and an elastomeric coating overmolded on the shield. The coating includes an anchor body mounted in a seat of the outer ring, and the anchor body includes a first anchor lip on an axially inner side of the anchor body contacting the seat of the radially outer ring and a second anchor lip located on an axially outer side of the anchor body contacting and forming a seal at a location on the radially outer ring. A concave radially outwardly facing connecting surface extends from the first anchor lip to the second anchor lip and is configured to reduce a compression of the anchor body when the anchor body is inserted into the seat.

Bearing unit with rolling bodies

A swivel bearing unit may have a stationary radially outer ring and a rotatable radially inner ring. The swivel bearing unit may further have a double row of rolling members interposed between the radially outer ring and the radially inner ring, a casing, inside which the rings of the bearing unit are housed, and a sealing device. The sealing device may include an elastomer seal co-molded onto a shaped metal screen stably anchored to the housing. The elastomer seal may be provided with a first radial lip and with a second axially external radial lip. Both the first radial lip and the second radial lip make sliding contact by respective contacting edges with a radially external surface of the radially inner ring. The first radial lip may have a thickness (SP) greater than a thickness (SP) of the second radial lip.

Swivel bearing unit

A sealing system including an annular support, an annular sealing element and an annular shielding element; a first and a second lip of the sealing element interact slidingly with an abutment surface of the shielding element and each include: a root portion which extends perpendicularly in cantilever fashion from a flange portion of the annular support; a flexing portion, which extends in cantilever fashion from the root portion in an oblique direction with a thinner radial thickness, delimited by an annular internal surface facing the abutment surface and by an annular external surface facing towards the support, consisting of surfaces of revolution generated by segments of circumference; and a contact portion including a wedge-shaped overhang and a step portion flanking the overhang, which forms with the abutment surface a first and a second angle (α, β), the first angle facing the annular support and being smaller than the second angle.

Dynamic interference sealing device and system with improved contact behaviour

A sealing assembly for bearings, in particular for use in agriculture, the sealing assembly having a first shield, which extends from an outer surface of the inner ring to an inner surface of the outer ring, and is mounted on the outer surface of the inner ring, and a seal with a plurality of contact lips supported by the first shield, and provided with a predetermined number (N) of contact lips arranged in series axially next to one another. The contact lips may lie, when in a respective pre-assembly configuration, in respective planes (P) inclined with respect to a central axis (A) of the bearing, and may have radial lengths decreasing axially towards the bearing.

Sealing assembly for bearings, in particular for use in agriculture

A sealing device for a motorcycle suspension provided with an armature on which an elastomeric covering is mounted, said covering comprising a first radially outer portion, for providing a dynamic seal with a first component of the motorcycle suspension, and a second radially inner portion for providing a guide and a static seal with a second component of the motorcycle suspension, on which the sealing device is mounted; the elastomeric covering is integrally connected to the armature and the radially outer portion has at least one first, flexible, annular sealing lip which projects, protruding in a radially and axially external direction so as to cooperate, during use, in a sliding manner, with a surface of the first component of the motorcycle suspension.

Integrated sealing device for motorcycle suspensions

Sealing device for a bearing unit having at least one contact lip operatively in sliding contact with a contact surface of the bearing unit and in turn provided with a wedge portion which forms with respect to the contact surface a first angle (&#x3b1;) facing a medium to be contained and a second angle (&#x3b2;) opposite the first angle, wherein during operating conditions, the second angle (&#x3b2;) is smaller than the first angle (&#x3b1;) and with a first surface having a concave shape, the concavity of which is defined by a first radius (R); wherein the second angle (&#x3b2;) is between 48&#xb0; and 55&#xb0; and the length of the first radius (R) is between 2.0 mm and 10.00 mm.

Sealing device for a bearing unit

A bearing seal is provided having inner and outer frames capable of forming a tight fit with a bearing inner ring and with a bearing outer ring respectively. The frames adjacent to each other, at least one of the two formed with an axial lip abutting an inner surface of the other in an axial direction and a radial lip abutting an inner surface of the other in a radial direction, for sealing an axial gap and a radial gap. A flexible convolute structure formed on the radial lip, and the convolute structure is initially formed with at least two hinge points. The hinge points are points of connection and intersection between adjacent bend surfaces in the convolute structure, being the locations of the principal regions where the material actually deforms by bending between adjacent bend surfaces. Predetermined bend angles are formed at the hinge points between adjacent bend surfaces.
