A suspension arm assembly including at least two members relatively rotatable about each other at a joint, with at least one of the joints comprising an infinite rotation joint. The infinite rotation joint allows the members at the infinite rotation joint to have unlimited rotation relative to one another. The infinite rotation joint is configured to pass at least an optical signal therethrough. The infinite rotation joint includes a stator and a rotor. At least two portions of the infinite rotation joint are separable and can automatically form a unit when adjacent arms are connected together such that the infinite rotation joint can be separated into the at least two portions. The at least two portions are configured to be automatically connected to allow the optical signal to pass therethrough once the at least two portions are engaged.

Separable infinite rotation fiber optic and slip ring rotary joint for suspension arm

An infinite rotation joint that allows members of a suspension arm assembly at the infinite rotation joint to have unlimited rotation relative to one another. The infinite rotation joint is configured to pass at least an optical signal therethrough. A surgical room power system including at least one source of power wired to a power source for a surgical room, the at least one source of power being wired to the surgical room; at least one power receiver; and a surgical power consumer wired to the at least one power receiver, the surgical power consumer being configured to assist a surgeon during a surgical procedure on a patient. The at least one source of power wirelessly transfers power to the at least one power receiver for powering the surgical power consumer.

Operating room wireless power transfer

A medical suspension arm assembly including a plurality of suspension arms, with each adjacent pair of the suspension arms being connected to each other by a joint and with at least one of the joints comprising an infinite rotation joint. The infinite rotation joint allows the suspension arms at the infinite rotation joint to have unlimited rotation relative to one another. Cabling including at least one fiber optic cable extends through each of the suspension arms and each joint. A wired medical unit is connected to an end of the plurality of suspension arms. High definition video, data and power can be transferred along each one of the suspension arms through the cabling and across each joint.

Fiber optic and slip ring rotary joint for suspension arm

A surgical light including a substrate having a substantially planar top surface with a plurality of light sources on the substantially planar top surface, with each of the light sources emitting light in a cone when activated. The cone has a first spread angle. An optical system having a first area such that the light emitted from the light sources has a second spread angle after passing through the first area and a second area focusing or redirecting the light passing through the first area at a location a desired distance from the optical system. The second spread angle is less than the first spread angle.

A Fresnel lens including a plurality of sawtooth-shaped projections, with each projection including a first surface at a first angle and a second surface at a second angle. Each first surface has top and bottom edges and each second surface has top and bottom edges. Each projection has a top intersection where the top edge of the first surface intersects the top edge of the second surface. Adjacent projections have a bottom intersection where the bottom edge of the second surface of a first one of the adjacent projections intersects the bottom edge of the first surface of a second one of the adjacent projections. The lens portion is opaque at the top intersection of the projections, at the bottom intersection of adjacent projections, and on the first surface between the top intersection and the bottom intersection.

Fresnel lens with light-scattering preventive feature

An arrangement for transferring a post assembly carrying medical equipment thereon between first and second support structures. The arrangement includes a positioning arm which is supported at one end on the first support structure and at the opposite end is configured for supporting the post assembly. The positioning arm cooperates with a receiver assembly provided on the second support structure. A freestanding cart and wheelchair are also provided which are configured to accept the post assembly from a support structure such as a patient bed, to allow the patient to ambulate with the associated medical equipment.
