Gymnastic machine

Apparatus and method for monitoring a body portion of a user during the use of a gymnastic machine provided with a video monitoring apparatus; this method comprising a phase of defining the body portion to be monitored, followed by a phase of visually and continuously monitoring this body portion through the video monitoring apparatus; this last phase comprising a sub-phase of synchronizing the trend over time of the value of at least one operating parameter of the video monitoring apparatus with a motion of the body portion described on the basis of given kinematic information acquired by a control unit of the gymnastic machine.

Monitoring apparatus for a gymnastic machine

Method for monitoring a body portion of a user during the use of a gymnastic machine provided with a video monitoring apparatus; this method comprising a phase of defining the body portion to be monitored, followed by a phase of visually and continuously monitoring this body portion through the video monitoring apparatus; this last phase comprising a sub-phase of synchronizing the trend over time of the value of at least one operating parameter of the video monitoring apparatus with a motion of the body portion described on the basis of given kinematic information acquired by a control unit of the gymnastic machine.

Monitoring method

Gymnastic machine () for simulating the skating movement provided with a frame () carrying a load unit (), with an exercise station () for performing a training exercise, and with a first functional group () and a second functional group: the first group () being mechanically connected to the load unit () in order to exchange mechanical energy with this latter; the first group () comprising at least a footrest () carried in a rotatable manner and in open chain by the frame (); the second functional group () comprising at least a third lever (); transmission means () being positioned between the first and second functional groups ()() in order to connect each third lever () to a respective footrest () for performing a training exercise for training the upper limbs in combination with a simulation of the skating movement.

In an exercise apparatus comprising a fixed support member () and a moving part () which can perform movements correlated to the exchange of forces between a user and the apparatus, a support device () comprises: elastic supporting means (); means () for damping the movements of the moving part () and adjusting means (). The damping means () are arranged parallel with the supporting means () and comprise a magnetic actuator (), in which a first, moving component () has an electroconductive element (), and a second, fixed component () comprises a permanent magnet () and a non-permanent magnet () connected to one another to form at least one air gap () which houses the electroconductive element (). Electrical energizing of the electroconductive element (), whether generated or induced, applies to the first component () of the actuator () a reactive magnetic force which opposes the translational movement.
