A continuously transposed cable CTC, extending according to a longitudinal development direction (L) and having two opposite longitudinal ends, includes a plurality of strands arranged so to form at least a first and a second adjacent stacks, each extending along the longitudinal development direction (L), wherein said at least first and second stacks form a longitudinal interface therebetween. The CTC cable () further includes one or more optical fibers positioned at the interface between the first and the second stacks. A winding of an electromagnetic induction device, such as a transformer, can be obtained by winding said CTC cable.

Continuously transposed cable with an integrated sensing device

An electromagnetic induction device comprising a magnetic core having a limb and at least one winding wound around the limb is presented. The winding comprises: an electrical conductor forming a plurality of radially overlapping layers around an axis; an electrically insulating material positioned between the radially overlapping layers of the electrical conductor; at least one magnetic material end-fill positioned at at least one axial end of the winding in electrical in contact with the layers of the electrical conductor so to be at the same electrical potential with the latter.

Electromagnetic induction device having a low losses winding

A winding is provided, which comprises a form element having a longitudinal axis defining a longitudinal direction and a radial direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The form element comprises a core with a lateral surface, and adjustable elements arranged on the lateral surface of the core. The adjustable elements are elongated and extend along the longitudinal direction. A thickness of the adjustable elements in a radial direction is altered along the longitudinal direction. A conductor is wound around the form element along the longitudinal direction forming turns of the winding.

A method for manufacturing an electric winding of an electromagnetic induction apparatus includes providing a conductor structure and forming an electric winding by means of the conductor structure. The conductor structure includes a conductor element extending longitudinally along a main extension direction and one or more spacer bands arranged on corresponding lateral surfaces of the conductor element. Each spacer band includes a supporting structure made of electrically insulating material and spacer elements made of electrically insulating material arranged on the supporting structure. The spacer elements are spaced one from another along the supporting structure. The electric winding extends axially along a winding direction and has a plurality of turns arranged around the winding direction. Each turn of the electric winding is formed by a corresponding longitudinal portion of the conductor element. The spacer elements are interposed between adjacent turns of the electric winding at opposite sides of the turns.

Method and conductor structure for manufacturing an electric winding of an electromagnetic induction apparatus

The present application relates to a magnetic shunt assembly for magnetic shielding of a power device, in one form for an electrical power transformer, including a plurality of joined ferromagnetic sheets and a plurality of bonding layers for bonding subsequent sheets of the plurality of ferromagnetic sheets to form an integral assembly.
