A hosting structure of nanometric components is described advantageously comprising: a substrate; n array levels on said substrate, with n&#x2267;2, arranged consecutively on growing and parallel planes, each including a plurality of conductive spacers alternated with a plurality of insulating spacers and substantially perpendicular to said substrate, with definition between consecutive conductive spacers of at least a gap, conductive spacers of consecutive array levels lying on distinct and parallel planes, said gaps of different array levels being at least partially aligned along a direction substantially perpendicular to said substrate with definition of a plurality of transversal hosting seats extended along said direction and suitable for hosting at least a nanometric component. A nanometric electronic device is also described comprising such a hosting structure and a method for realizing it.

Nanometric structure and corresponding manufacturing method

A method for generating cryptographically secure (or unpredictable) pseudo-random numbers uses simple functions whose inverse is not a well-defined function and has a large number of branches, although the inverse could be easily computed on each particular branch. In this way the sequence of numbers is practically unpredictable and at the same time may be generated using very simple functions. A generator of such a pseudo-random bit sequence comprises circuit means for storing bit strings representing integer numbers of the pseudo-random sequence; a shift register coupled to the circuit means; a command circuit generating shift commands for the shift register; second circuit means for storing the bits output by the shift register; an adder modulosumming the bits stored in the second circuit means, generating a bit of the chaos-based pseudo-random bit sequence; a second adder summing up the bit strings currently stored in the shift register and in the first circuit means, generating a bit string representing a successive number of the pseudo-random sequence.

Method of generating a chaos-based pseudo-random sequence and a hardware generator of chaos-based pseudo random bit sequences

A hosting structure of nanometric components is described comprising a substrate, a first multi-spacer level comprising a first plurality of spacers including first conductive spacers parallel to each other, and at least a second multi-spacer level realized above said first multi-spacer level and comprising a second plurality of spacers arranged transversally to said first plurality of spacers and including at least a lower discontinuous insulating layer and an upper layer, including in turn second conductive spacers. In particular, each pair of spacers of the second multi-spacer level defines with a spacer of the first multi-spacer level a plurality of nanometric hosting seats having at least a first and a second conduction terminal realized by portions of the first conductive spacers and of the second conductive spacers faced in the hosting seats. A method for manufacturing such a structure is also described.

Hosting structure of nanometric elements and corresponding manufacturing method

Method for manufacturing a hosting structure of nanometric elements comprising the steps of depositing on an upper surface of a substrate, of a first material, a block-seed having at least one side wall. Depositing on at least one portion of sad surface and on the block-seed a first layer, of predetermined thickness of a second material, and subsequently selectively and anisotropically etching it to form a spacer-seed adjacent to the side wall. The cycle of deposition and selective etching steps of a predetermined material are repeated n times (n&#x2267;2), with at least one spacer formed in each cycle. This predetermined material is different for each pair of consecutive depositions. The above n steps provides at least one multilayer body. Further selective etching removes every other spacers to provide a plurality of nanometric hosting seats, which forms contact terminals for a plurality of molecular transistors hosted in said hosting seats.

Method for realizing a hosting structure of nanometric elements

A method of controlling a process driven by a control signal for producing a corresponding output includes producing an error signal as a function of a state of the process and of a reference signal. A control signal is generated as a function of the error signal and of a parameter adjustment signal. The control signal is applied to the process. A derived signal representative of a quantity to be minimized is calculated by processing paired values of the state of the process and the control signal. A correction signal is calculated from a set of several different values of the control signal that minimizes the derived signal. The parameter adjustment signal is calculated by a neural network and fuzzy logic processor from the error signal and the correction signal. The correction signal is periodically calculated by a Quantum Genetic Search Algorithm that results from a merging of a genetic algorithm and a quantum search algorithm.

Method and hardware architecture for controlling a process or for processing data based on quantum soft computing

Described herein are a molecular memory obtained using DNA strand molecular switches and carbon nanotubes, and a manufacturing method thereof. In particular, the nonvolatile memory is manufactured according to an architecture that envisages the use of carbon nanotubes as electrical connectors and DNA strands as physical means on which to write the information. In other words, the nonvolatile memory is made by means of a set of molecular DNA strand switches, the addressing of which is controlled by molecular wires made up of carbon nanotubes.

A method of performing a Grover's or a Deutsch-Jozsa's quantum algorithm being input with a binary function defined on a space having a basis of vectors of n of qubits includes carrying out a superposition operation over input vectors for generating components of linear superposition vectors referred to a second basis of vectors of n+1 qubits. An entanglement operation is performed over components of the linear superposition vectors for generating components of numeric entanglement vectors. The method allows a non-negligible time savings because the entanglement operation does not multiply a superposition vector for an entanglement matrix, but generates components of an entanglement vector simply by copying or inverting respective components of the superposition vector depending on values of the binary function. An interference operation is performed over components of the numeric entanglement vectors for generating components of output vectors.

Method and relative quantum gate for running a Grover's or a Deutsch-Jozsa's quantum algorithm

In an encryption/decryption system for converting data signals between an unencrypted plaintext format and an encrypted ciphertext format plurality of round modules are provided permitting a respective set of input data signals (TEXT IN) to generate a respective set of output data signals (TEXT OUT) by means of transformation controlled by a round key (SUBKEY). The transformation is identified by at least one map function derived from a chaotic map.

Chaos-based data protection using time-discrete dynamical systems

A quantum gate performs the superposition operation of a Grover's or of a Deutsch-Jozsa's quantum algorithm in a very fast manner. This is done by performing all multiplications by using logic gates that immediately outputs the result. The superposition operation includes performing the Hadamard rotation over an input set of vectors for producing a set of rotated vectors, and calculating the tensor product of all the rotated vectors for outputting a linear superposition set of vectors. The tensor product of all the rotated vectors is carried out by the logic gates.

An encryption process includes choosing a secret key and a set of permutable functions defined on a phase space for encrypting/decrypting messages, choosing a code for encoding messages to be sent as a number belonging to the phase space. The set of permutable functions includes chaotic maps generated by a composite function of first and second functions, and an inverse of the first function. The secret key is defined by the second function.

An electronic torque control and distribution system is provided for a hybrid propulsion vehicle. The drive thrust of the hybrid propulsion vehicle is distributed between an electric engine and an internal combustion engine through a transmission system. The transmission system delivers the torque of both engines to the vehicle wheels. The electronic torque control and distribution system is slaved to a control unit, and includes a controller for incorporating a fuzzy logic processor to predict through soft computing techniques the torque contributions of the electric engine and of the internal combustion engine. A sensor estimates the vehicle polluting emissions. The controller and the sensor are both connected to the control unit.

A control device for a vehicle having at least one semiactive suspension arranged between a vehicle body and a wheel and having a damping coefficient that can be varied in a controlled way by an actuator governed by a control device, the control device including an accelerometric sensor generating a vehicle body acceleration signal; a potentiometer generating a suspension position signal; a signal conditioning unit for the calculation of the vehicle body speed and the damping speed; a fuzzy control unit that calculates the subsequent position of the actuator on the basis of the vehicle body speed and of the damping speed; and a driving unit which generates a control signal for the actuator.

Method and device for controlling semiactive suspensions of motor vehicles

The fuzzy filtering of a noise signal comprising a plurality of signal samples &lsqb;s(t,k)&rsqb; is carried out using as variables the variation of the signal in the considered window and the distance of the samples from a sample to be reconstructed, to distinguish the typical variations of the original signal from those due to the noise and to identify the signal fronts. The method comprises the steps of defining a current signal sample &lsqb;s(t)&rsqb; from among the plurality of signal samples, calculating a plurality of difference samples &lsqb;D(t,k)&rsqb; as the difference in absolute value between the current signal sample and each signal sample and defining distance values (k) between the current signal sample and each signal sample. The method further comprises determining weight parameters &lsqb;P(k)&rsqb; on the basis of the difference samples and the distance values by means of fuzzy logic and weighing the signal samples with the weight parameters so as to obtain a reconstructed signal sample &lsqb;o(t)&rsqb;.

Fuzzy filtering method and associated fuzzy filter

A filter performs a reduction of pulsed noise in video images in accordance with fuzzy logic. An interface circuit of the filter receives consecutive digital signals in time corresponding to the video images and generates an image window having a digital signal to be processed at the center. The filter also has a comparator block, a plurality of digital subtractors, and a memory circuit connected in cascade to the comparator block. The filter also has a filtering circuit that organizes values of digital signals of the video image, and an arithmetic block that performs a switch between the digital signal to be processed and the output of the filtering circuit on the basis of the values taken by the parameter.
