A polymer composition may include an elastomeric ethylene-vinyl acetate, in which at least a portion of ethylene from the elastomeric ethylene-vinyl acetate is obtained from a renewable source of carbon. A curable polymer composition, an expandable polymer composition, articles, cured articles, and expanded articles may include or be formed from such polymer composition. A process for producing a polymer composition may include polymerizing ethylene at least partially obtained from a renewable source of carbon with vinyl acetate to produce an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer; and mixing the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with an elastomeric polyolefin to produce an elastomeric ethylene-vinyl acetate.

Bio-based elastomeric EVA compositions and articles and methods thereof

Polymer compositions may include an elastomeric ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) composition; and one or more selected from base polymer, filler, peroxide agent, blowing agent, and blowing accelerator. Methods may include blending a polymer composition from a mixture of an elastomeric ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) composition, and one or more of base polymer, filler, peroxide agent, blowing agent, and blowing accelerator, wherein the elastomeric EVA composition has a melt flow index (MFI) at 190° C. and 2.16 kg as determined according to ASTM D1238 in the range of 6.1 g/10 min and 45 g/10 min.

Compositions may include an adhesive film composition that include at least one layer including a polymer produced from ethylene, vinyl acetate, and one or more polar comonomers, wherein at least one of the one or more polar comonomers include an amine moiety.

Modified ethylene vinyl acetate compositions, polymer blends and films made therefrom

Blended polymer compositions and methods of making the same include an elastomeric EVA composition in an amount ranging from about 46 to 70 wt % of the polymer composition; and a polypropylene in an amount ranging from about 20 to 40 wt % of the polymer composition. Methods include mixing an elastomeric EVA composition with polypropylene, and extruding the mixture of elastomeric EVA composition and polypropylene.

Methods may include preparing a polymer composition by combining one or more foamable polymers and one or more ionomeric additives in a mixer to produce the polymer composition; and foaming the polymer composition to generate a polymer foam exhibiting shrinkage as determined at 70&#xb0; C.*1 h according to the PFI method of between 0.1 and 3.5%.
