An apparatus for actuating valves in vehicles in a variable valve control manner, may include an eccentric cam mounted on a cylinder head and rotating with power transmitted from a crank shaft, a high-pressure pump connected to an oil pump, wherein one end of the high-pressure pump may be pushed by the eccentric cam when the eccentric cam rotates, converting low-pressure oil supplied from the oil pump into high-pressure oil, a high-pressure rail connected with the high-pressure pump to accommodate the high-pressure oil from the high-pressure pump and store the high-pressure oil therein, and an operating cylinder connected with the high-pressure rail and having a plunger pushing an intake or exhaust valve with a pressure of oil received from the high-pressure rail.

Apparatus for actuating valves in vehicles in variable valve control manner

A variable valve lift device and a valve apparatus for a vehicle engine may include a valve configured to open/close a combustion chamber, a cam having a predetermined cam profile and rotatable by receiving a power generated in the combustion chamber, a cam side rocker arm rotatable by the cam, a rocker shaft penetratively mounted into the cam side rocker arm, a valve side rocker arm installed on the rocker shaft to apply a pressure for opening the valve while being turned by the cam side rocker arm, a hydraulic interval adjustment device installed in the cam side rocker arm to adjust an interval between the cam side rocker arm and the valve side rocker arm, and a hydraulic interval maintaining device configured to maintain the interval between the cam side rocker arm and the valve side rocker arm adjusted by the hydraulic interval adjustment device.

Variable valve lift device and valve apparatus for vehicle engine using the same

A variable valve system, may include a variable valve apparatus that controls opening/closing timing of an exhaust valve and an intake valve of an engine, and an oil supply device that supplies the variable valve apparatus with a pressured oil, wherein the exhaust valve and the intake valve may be opened/closed by rotation of a camshaft, and the oil supply device engaged with the camshaft may be operated by the rotation of the camshaft.

Variable valve system

A compression release engine brake unit includes an oil outlet passage formed in a socket brake, which stores engine brake oil, and a reset member opening or closing the outlet passage. The reset member discharges the engine brake oil by opening the oil outlet passage in response to the rotation of a rocker arm during engine braking and, thereby, the engine brake restores the initial state. Since the compression release engine brake can restore the initial state, the return valve lift is the same as when the compression release engine brake is not actuated. Accordingly, the valve does not butt against an engine piston.
