Protective cap for injection needle

A distribution assembly having a syringe having a body with a tip supporting a needle having a bevel, and a removable syringe needle protection device. The protection device has a flexible cap defining an inside cavity defined by a side wall and by a distal solid end wall, and when in the protection position, receiving the bevel of the needle in airtight manner. The side wall includes an annular bead provided with at least one slot extending across the bead in a longitudinal direction, the bead, when in the protection position, co-operating in airtight manner with the tip of the syringe. The cavity of the cap is dimensioned so that when the protection device is removed from the syringe, the cavity is connected to the atmosphere via the slot before the bevel of the needle becomes connected to the cavity.

A protection device for a syringe needle, having an elastomeric cap. The cap defining a housing receiving the distal portion of the body of a needle syringe. An end wall of the cap perforatable over a fraction of its thickness by the free end of the needle. The housing having a first segment of frustoconical or cylindrical shape; a cylindrical second segment for housing the distal portion of the syringe body that carries the needle, and a third segment that tapers from the second segment towards the end wall of the housing, the lateral wall provided with an annular bead arranged in the housing, at least one slot extending in a longitudinal direction across the annular bead. A fluid injection device having a syringe body, a needle, and a needle protection device. The protection device includes a substantially flexible or deformable inner body and a substantially rigid outer body. The inner body closes a dispenser orifice of the needle, and co-operates with the syringe body in a leaktight manner, and the outer body fastens the protection device on the syringe body. The inner body includes a radial projection, and the outer body includes a radial shoulder and an axial end edge that defines a top axial opening. A fluid injection device having a syringe body, a needle, and a needle protection device removable from the injection device and having a substantially flexible or deformable inner body and a substantially rigid outer body. In the stored position the inner body closes the dispenser orifice of the needle and the outer body co-operates with the injection device to fasten the protection device on the injection device. The protection device includes a protection system against accidental pricking, having protective flaps that are integral part of the outer body and movable between a covering position in which they cover the needle, and an open position in which the needle is uncovered. The protection system has a control ring that slides over the outer body so as to move the flaps from their covering position to their open position, before injection, and from their open position to their covering position, after injection.
