Poly(tetramethylene terephthalate)-polyether block copolymers having materially increased heat deflection temperatures and incorporating within the polymer chain in random distribution 1 percent to 7 percent by weight of the polyether, poly(tetramethylene ether glycol) or polyethylene oxide; the polyether being added to the reaction mixture in the course of the polymerization reaction.

Compositions of matter comprising interpolymers of poly (butylene terephthalate) with ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, polyethylene or polypropylene and reinforced with between about 2 and about 60 wt. % glass fibers.

Thermally responsive materials are provided having improved resolidification (recrystallization) characteristics. These thermally responsive materials are useful as temperature indicating compositions by undergoing change of state as precise and predetermined temperatures. Marked improvement in the rate of recrystallization of these thermally responsive substances is obtained by the addition thereto of so-called 'nucleating agents' preferably supported on suitable support materials.
