A defrosting apparatus comprises a heater case comprising a heat pipe seating part formed to extend from one surface thereof in a recessed shape and a heater receiving part formed to extend to be parallel with the heat pipe seating part. The defrosting apparatus also includes a heater which is mounted in the heater receiving part so as to emit heat when power is applied thereto, a heat pipe which has a flow path through which a working fluid filled therein flows, which has a part seated on the heat pipe seating part, and which is disposed to be adjacent to a cooling pipe of an evaporator such that heat is radiated to the cooling pipe of the evaporator by means of the working fluid at a high temperature which is heated by the heater and then is transferred, and a holder which is detachably coupled to the heater case so as to cover the heat pipe seated on the heat pipe seating part.

Defrosting apparatus and refrigerator comprising same

A defrosting apparatus includes: a heating unit including a heater case and a heater, where the heater case defines an inner flow path having an inlet and an outlet at ends thereof, and the heater is mounted in the heater case to heat a working fluid within the inner flow path; and a heat pipe inserted into the inside of the heater case through the inlet and the outlet, and which has at least a part thereof disposed to be adjacent to a cooling pipe of an evaporator such that heat is radiated to the cooling pipe of the evaporator by means of the working fluid at a high temperature that is heated by the heater and then is transferred, where the heater is configured to stop emit heat at a preset temperature or higher since an electric current is suppressed due to a sharp increase in resistance.

An evaporator includes: an evaporator case that defines a food storage space therein; a cooling tube located at the evaporator case and filled with refrigerant; a foil heater attached to at least one surface of the evaporator case and configured to contact the evaporator case and to generate heat such that heat for defrosting is transferred to the evaporator case. A defrosting time is reduced in comparison to that of conventional natural defrosting, such that the freshness of food can be maintained, and the cooling efficiency, having been reduced by frost, is increased such that power consumption can be reduced. The foil heater is attached to a conventional roll-bond type evaporator case, and the present invention has an advantageous effect of facilitating the maintenance of the foil heater because of a structure in which the foil heater is attached to the evaporator case.

Evaporator and refrigerator having same

Disclosed is an evaporator, comprising: a heating tube left as an empty space between first and second case sheets, which form an evaporator case, so as not to be overlapped with a cooling tube, and forming a heating passage in which a working liquid for defrosting flows; and a heater attached to the outer surface, which corresponds to the heating tube, of the evaporator case so as to heat the working liquid inside the heating tube. The heating tube can have a structure which an inlet and an outlet are respectively formed at both sides of a heater attachment part in the longitudinal direction and both end portions of a passage part are respectively connected to the inlet and the outlet, or can have a structure in which an opening is formed at one side of the heater attachment part, the working liquid heated by the heater is discharged through the opening, and the cooled working liquid is returned. The structures can form the heating passage, enabling the working liquid to circulate therethrough, without forming the inlet and the outlet, which are respectively connected to both end portions of the passage part, to be parallel at one side of the heater attachment part.

The present invention discloses a defrosting device, including: a heating unit provided at a lower portion of the evaporator; and a heat pipe connected to an inlet and an outlet of the heating unit, respectively, and having at least part thereof disposed adjacent to a cooling pipe of the evaporator such that the cooling pipe of the evaporator is heated by a working fluid of high temperature which is transferred in a heated state by the heating unit, wherein the heating unit includes: a heater case extending in one direction to be arranged in a left and right direction of the evaporator, and having the inlet and the outlet at both sides thereof; and a heater provided with an active heating part accommodated within the heater case and actively generating heat to heat the working fluid, and a passive heating part extending from the active heating part and heated up to temperature lower than temperature of the active heating part, and wherein the inlet is formed at a position away from the active heating part to prevent the working fluid returned after flowing along the heat pipe from being introduced directly into the active heating part.

Defrosting device and refrigerator having the same

Disclosed is an evaporator including a case formed in an empty box type and having a storage chamber therein; a cooling tube formed on the case in a preset pattern and filled with refrigerant for cooling therein; a heating tube formed on the case in a preset pattern so as not to be overlapped with the cooling tube and filled with working fluid for defrosting therein; and a heating unit fixed to an external surface of the case corresponding to the heating tube and configured to heat the working fluid within the heating tube.

Evaporator and refrigerator having the same

A refrigerator includes a cabinet that defines a freezing compartment and a refrigerating compartment, and an evaporator installed in the freezing compartment. The evaporator includes: an evaporator case that defines a food storage space formed therein; a cooling tube located at the evaporator case in a predetermined pattern and configured to receive a coolant; and a sheath heater disposed outside of the evaporator case to be adjacent to at least one surface of the evaporator case, the sheath heater being configured to generate heat such that heat for defrosting is transferred to the evaporator case. The sheath heater reduces the defrosting time to maintain the freshness of food, increases the cooling efficiency, and reduces power consumption. The defrosting efficiency by the sheath heater is improved by a reflection member, and an inflow of heat, generated when defrosting, into the refrigerating compartment is reduced by a heat insulation member.

Evaporator and refrigerator comprising same

A defrosting device includes a heating unit filled with a working fluid and including an active heating part heated to a first temperature that can evaporate the working fluid, and a passive heating part positioned at a rear side of the active heating part and heated to a lower temperature than the first temperature. The defrosting device also includes a heat pipe disposed adjacent to an evaporator to transfer heat to the evaporator while circulating working fluid heated by the active heating part, the heat pipe including an entrance portion configured to receive working fluid evaporated by the active heating part, and a return portion connected adjacent to the passive heating part and configured to receive working fluid that has condensed after circulating through the heat pipe. Condensed working fluid received at the heating unit first passes through the passive heating part before being reheated at the active heating part.

An evaporator comprises: an evaporator case having first and second case sheets coupled to each other and bent such that both sides of the evaporator case are open, thereby forming a box shape, a food storing space being formed inside the evaporator case; a cooling tube provided as an empty space between the first and second case sheets, thereby forming a cooling channel through which a refrigerant flows; and a heating tube formed as an empty space between the first and second case sheets so as not to overlap with the cooling tube, thereby forming a heating channel for defrosting, wherein the cooling tube and the heating tube are shaped to protrude to the outside of the evaporator case, and the evaporator case has an inner surface formed to be flat.

The present invention discloses a defroster comprising: a heating unit having a heater case arranged vertically along an up-down direction on the outside of an evaporator, and a heater disposed vertically in the up-down direction inside the heater case; and a heat pipe respectively connected to an outlet provided at the top side of the heating unit and an inlet provided at the bottom side of the heating unit, and having at least a portion thereof disposed adjacent to the refrigerant pipe of the evaporator so that working fluid heated by the heater moves and transfers heat to the evaporator to remove frost, wherein the heater is configured to be immersed beneath the surface of the working fluid when all the working fluid in the heat pipe is in a liquid state.

Defroster and refrigerator having same

The present disclosure relates to an evaporator, including an evaporator case formed in a box shape with both sides open in a manner of bending two case sheets coupled to each other, a cooling tube left as an empty space between the two case sheets to form a cooling passage for a flow of refrigerant, a heating tube left as an empty space between the two case sheets in a non-overlapping manner with the cooling tube, and a heating wire heater inserted into the heating tube to surround the evaporator case, and generating heat, in response to power supplied, such that heat for defrosting is transferred to the evaporator case.

Disclosed is a laundry treatment apparatus equipped with an exhaust type drying system, which is capable of not only enhancing drying efficiency while reducing consumption of energy and cooling water required to dry laundry, but also achieving smooth exhaust of air even when a water trap is formed in a drainage duct. The laundry treatment apparatus includes a casing, an outer tub, an inner tub, a drainage duct for guiding wash water stored in the outer tub to be discharged to the outside of the casing, a first exhaust duct connected, at one end thereof, to the drainage duct, to guide air present in the outer tub into the drainage duct, and a second exhaust duct upwardly branched from the drainage duct, to exhaust air present in the drainage duct to the outside of the outer tub or the outside of the cashing.

Laundry treatment apparatus

The present disclosure discloses a defrosting device, including a heating unit provided in an evaporator; and a heat pipe, both end portions of which are connected to an inlet and an outlet of the heating unit, respectively, and at least part of which is disposed adjacent to a cooling tube to dissipate heat to the cooling tube of the evaporator due to high-temperature working fluid heated and transferred by the heating unit, wherein the heating unit includes a heater case provided with a vacant space therein, and provided with the inlet and the outlet at positions separated from each other, respectively, along a length direction; and a heater attached to an outer surface of the heater case to heat working fluid within the heater case.

The present disclosure discloses a defrosting device, including a heating unit provided at a lower side of an evaporator, and configured to heat working fluid therein; and a plurality of heat pipes, both end portions of which are connected to an inlet and an outlet of the heating unit, respectively, and at least part of which are disposed adjacent to a cooling tube of the evaporator to emit heat to the cooling tube due to high temperature working fluid heated and transferred by the heating unit, wherein the plurality of heat pipes are configured with a first heat pipe and a second heat pipe disposed to form two rows on a front portion and a rear portion of the evaporator, respectively, and the first heat pipe and the second heat pipe are formed in different lengths.
