In a laser printer using a plurality of laser scan units, a laser scan unit is capable of manually adjusting a plurality of laser beams to be parallel. The laser scan unit assembly includes a laser scan unit having a window on a front surface through which a laser beam is emitted, a hinge portion provided at one side of the laser scan unit to pivotably dispose the laser scan unit on the body, and an adjusting portion provided on the side of the laser scan unit opposite from the hinge portion, to adjust an amount the laser scan unit pivots. The body has a hinge supporting portion provided thereon to support rotation of the hinge portion. The hinge portion is formed as a hinge shaft and the hinge supporting portion is formed as a groove to support the hinge shaft. The adjusting portion includes a first adjusting unit which is an inclined surface, and a second adjusting unit which is a screw and is provided on the body.

An apparatus prevents developer wraparound in a wet electrophotographic printer using wraparound preventing units. Each of the wraparound preventing units has varied diameter parts formed at both ends of a developing roller, and matching parts formed at both ends of a metering roller to correspond to the varied diameter parts of the developing roller. Since the varied diameter parts and the matching parts are respectively installed at both ends of the developing roller and the metering roller, developer wraparound is not generated in the developing roller and a photosensitive roller during development.

A wet electrophotographic image forming machine that informs a user of a timing for replacing development cartridges. The image forming machine comprises a control section for sensing the condition of the developer stored in one or more developer housings on the basis of a measured electric current flowing between one or more developer feeding members and one or more developer application members via the developer provided therebetween, and a display section for externally displaying the developer condition according to a signal from the control section. The apparatus further includes a transfer backup roller assembly having a plurality of transfer backup rollers which are installed inside the transfer belt to support a plurality of auxiliary frames and support the transfer belt, and a plurality of guide rollers supported by the plurality of auxiliary frames and to guide the transfer belt, and a transfer backup roller ascending and descending portion which ascends and descends the transfer backup roller assembly towards the driving assembly.

A liquid image developing system includes a development container to store a developer; a photosensitive body; a development roller partially soaked in the developer in the development container and to rotate opposite to the photosensitive body; a metering blade to scratch the developer attached to a circumference of the development roller to a predetermined thickness; a depositing plate spaced from the development roller to form a space therebetween; a supplying portion to supply the developer to the space between the development roller and the depositing plate; and a power supply to apply a voltage to the depositing plate so that the developer is transferred to the development roller from the space by an electric force. Accordingly, a high-concentration developer can be directly used in the development operation without a dilution operation, and thus the structure to supply the developer can be considerably simplified.

A developing system of a liquid electrophotographic image forming device. The developing system includes a development container in which a developer is stored, a development roller which rotates opposite to a photosensitive body, and being partially soaked in the development container, and a metering blade. The metering blade has a first face contacting the circumference of the development roller and a second face by which a predetermined angle is formed with respect to the first face, which maintains a developer layer on the circumference of the development roller at a predetermined thickness. By optimizing related parameters of the metering blade, the developer layer on the development roller can be regulated, thereby achieving good image quality.

A door apparatus used in an electrophotographic image printer includes a door frame mounted on a surface of a main body of the printer and rotatably opened and closed, a pressure-unit fixing bracket attached to an inner side of the door frame, and a buffer unit movably supporting the pressure-unit fixing bracket against the door frame and spaced-apart from the door frame by a certain distance. A plurality of holes are formed on the pressure-unit fixing bracket and receives shafts of components installed in the main body and the shafts are disposed adjacent to the door frame when the door frame is closed. The pressure-unit fixing bracket moves against the door while the shafts are inserted into the holes.

A device for measuring the concentration of a developer liquid for a liquid-type printer, including a container having a discharge portion, first and second rotary members rotatably installed in the container with a predetermined space, and a supply portion for supplying the developer liquid containing toner particles and liquid carrier into the space between the first and second rotary members. A concentration detector is provided for detecting the concentration of the developer liquid by emitting light onto the developer liquid flowing along the space between the first and second rotary members, and receiving the light passed through the developer liquid. Liquid developer refilling system of liquid electrophotographic printer and method thereof

In an apparatus for elevating a squeeze roller of a liquid developing apparatus, a sub-block having the squeeze roller selectively pressing a photoreceptor web installed thereon, is installed at a main block of the liquid developing apparatus to be capable of moving up and down. A mobile block is installed at the main block to be capable of moving up and down to support the sub-block. The mobile block is moved up and down by an elevating unit to allow the squeeze roller to contact or be separated from the photoreceptor web. A piezoelectric element is installed at the mobile block to support the sub-block and to move the sub-block up and down in a predetermined range by being reversibly transformed by electric current. A power supply selectively provides electric current to the piezoelectric element. Thus, the decline over time of the elastic force of the spring employed in the conventional elevating apparatus can be fundamentally solved. Further, when the liquid developing apparatus of the present invention is used for a long time, the pressing force of the squeeze roller to the photoreceptor web can be uniformly maintained.

A photosensitive belt receiving case is provided, which includes a sidewall having a predetermined shape and an outer wall which extends from the edge of the sidewall. A plurality of grooves are formed at opposing sides of a portion of the outer wall combined with the sidewall. An inner wall extending from the sidewall parallel to the outer wall is provided inside the outer wall, and has a plurality of grooves which face the grooves of the outer wall, so that a photosensitive belt is received between the outer and inner walls and the edge of the photosensitive belt is partially exposed through the grooves.

An electrophotographic printer includes first and second transcription rollers for printing an image transcribed from a photosensitive drum on a first surface of a paper. The printer further includes third and fourth transcription rollers positioned to one side of the first and second transcription rollers and movable up and down for selectively contacting the photosensitive drum, thereby to print the image transcribed from the photosensitive drum on a second surface of the paper. Accordingly, both surfaces of the paper can be printed by passing a paper through the printer only once.

A thermal-transcription printer has a printing head and a platen drum which is moved up and down to press thermally activated ink from a thermal transfer ribbon onto a paper. A lever member is installed on a feed roller for transferring a paper sheet, and the platen drum is supported by an end portion of the lever member. The platen drum moves up and down, while being supported by the lever member which rotates in the same direction as the feed roller, and presses an ink ribbon and the paper against the printing head.

A video printer includes a control circuit for outputting an image signal to the printing mechanism from a first memory so that the image signal is printed in a central effective image area. The control circuit also outputs index information (for example, the date or title) to the printing mechanism from a second memory so that the index information is printed in a margin area outside of the central effective area.

An image forming apparatus includes a drum gear having a first guide slot and a cam, a clamp having a first interlocking pin inserted into the first guide slot and a cam pin is interlocked with the cam. A release lever is mounted on a support plate on which a shaft of a drum is supported. A lifter having one end with a second guide slot formed therein is coupled to the first interlocking pin. The other end of the lifter has a second interlocking pin interlocked with the release lever. The apparatus can shorten the overall printing time by reducing the additional time required for ejecting a sheet of paper because the clamp is operated in cooperation with rotation of the drum during a printing operation.
