A combination appliance includes a cooktop having an opening representing a suction opening of the combination appliance. Arranged below the cooktop is a steam extraction device for suctioning air from a space above the cooktop via the opening. The steam extraction device includes a single blower having an air inlet opening and arranged in the combination appliance such that the air inlet opening of the blower faces the cooktop.

An extractor hood is used for extracting and/or purifying a carrier that is contaminated with solid and/or liquid substances. In order to improve the extraction and/or purification output of an extractor hood and simultaneously to reduce the amount of maintenance required, the extractor hood uses a pre-filtering unit disposed upstream of the filter unit, whereby at least already a partial flow of the carrier to be extracted and/or to be purified is purified to a certain degree already before it reaches the filter unit that is configured as the main filter.

A grease filter made from metal, in particular, for use in commercial kitchens and in household vapor extractor hoods has impact filter elements with a first row of elongate profiles disposed at distances from one another and with a second row of profiles disposed at distances from one another, the profile rows being at a distance from one another and being offset relative to one another such that the profiles of the second row match with the distances between the first row. A knitted fabric filter or an expanded mesh grid is disposed between the first and second rows of profiles. The profiles have a sound-absorbing material, in particular, sound-absorbing mats, on a side facing away from the air flow. By virtue of this configuration, a high grease efficiency is achieved, there is excellent protection against flame puncture, and noise protection measures can be implemented.
