A transmit circuit for sending and/or receiving at least one single-ended signal and for sending a differential signal on two transmission lines, including: a differential amplifier for sending signal parts of a differential signal via the two transmission lines, two impedance matching resistances that are situated between the transmission lines, connected in series, for the impedance matching of the differential amplifier; a switch that is connected in series between the impedance matching resistances; at least one single-ended transmit amplifier for sending or receiving a single-ended signal via an associated one of the transmission lines, each of the at least one single-ended transmit amplifiers being connected to a terminal of the switch that is connected, via the corresponding impedance matching resistance to the associated transmission line.

A method and a system for controlling a state machine are described. In the method, a script is used via which each arbitrary path in the state machine. The script is created using a language which includes the 'data' command, the 'data' command allowing reading and writing of data.

In a method for carrying out bidirectional communications between a first electronic unit and a second electronic unit, a clock signal and an input signal synchronized with the clock signal are transmitted from the first electronic unit to the second electronic unit, and the second electronic unit transmits a response sequence in an output signal to the first electronic unit. In addition, an unambiguous test sequence is generated in the second electronic unit and transmitted to the first electronic unit prior to the response sequence in the output signal, a time sequence between the test sequence and the response sequence in the output signal making it possible to take into account a time delay between the first electronic unit and the second electronic unit.

A method and device for switching over in a memory for a control device, a first storage area in the control unit being overlaid by a second storage area; the second storage area including at least one memory page, and each of the memory pages being able to overlay the first storage area; switching over being able to be performed between the memory pages and the overlaying being able to be switched on/switched off, and the switching over of the memory pages and the switching on/switching off of the overlaying of the second storage area being automatically carried out and/or triggered by the software of the control unit.
