An electrical crimp terminal for connection with a conductor of an electrical cable has an insulation surrounding the conductor. The electrical crimp terminal comprises a conductor connection portion, wherein the conductor connection portion comprises conductor crimp wings for being crimped onto the conductor of the electrical cable. Each of the conductor crimp wings in the non-crimped state has at least one progressive portion having a progressively increasing height in a longitudinal direction to a tip of the conductor to be crimped, wherein the progressive portion extends along the complete length of each conductor crimp wing.

Shielded electrical connector for automotive applications and method of assembling thereof

The present invention relates to an electrical shielding member that includes a receiving portion for receiving a cable end of a shielded cable at least partially, wherein the receiving portion is adapted to be in contact with a shielding of the cable, and wherein the receiving portion comprises at least one coupling element, protruding outwardly from the receiving portion. The coupling element is adapted to be coupled to a corresponding coupling element of a network connector housing. The electrical shielding member further comprises an engagement element, protruding inwardly into the receiving portion, wherein the engagement element is adapted to be engaged with the cable. The electrical shielding member further comprises at least one contact beam, extending from the receiving portion, wherein the contact beam is adapted to be electrically connected to a counter electrical shielding member of a counter connector.

An electrical connector includes an inner signal contact, an outer shielding contact, and a cover. The outer contact has a crimping portion including a first crimp wing and a second crimp wing that are bendable towards each other to attach the outer shielding contact to a cable such that ends of the first crimp wing and the second crimp wing extend towards each other when the outer shielding contact is attached to the cable. Grommet, electronic member and method of forming said grommet

The present invention relates to an electrical shielding member for an electrical connector assembly. The electrical shielding member is made from bend and cut sheet metal. The electrical shielding member is configured to be received at least partially within a collector housing of an electrical connector assembly. The electrical shielding member comprises a receiving portion that is configured to receive a connector module and a corresponding connector module at least partially, so as to surround a mating region of the connector module and corresponding connector module on at least four sides.

An electrical shielding member for a network connector includes a receiving portion for receiving a cable end of a shielded cable and a contact beam extending from the receiving portion. The contact beam has a first contact point for electrically connecting the electrical shielding member to a counter shielding member of a counter network connector, and a coupling portion, provided at a distal end of the contact beam. The coupling portion is configured to be coupled to a corresponding coupling portion of a network connector housing. A grommet configured to provide support for a cable exiting of a housing is presented herein. The grommet has a generally elongate shape extending along a longitudinal axis. The grommet includes a sealing part configured to interact with an inner wall of an exit point of the housing, a sleeve arranged around the longitudinal axis and configured to be arranged outside of the housing to act as a cable relief on the outside of the housing, the sealing part, and one or more reinforcement members provided in a transition region between the sealing part and the sleeve. An electronic member including an electric cable connected to an electronic component present within the housing of the electronic member and the grommet as well as a method of the forming grommet is also presented.

A network connector assembly comprises a header housing having two pins forming a pin pair. A first pin end portion can be connected to a counter connector. A second pin end portion can be connected to a PCB. A first electrically conductive shielding member is arranged laterally to the pin pair. A second electrically conductive shielding member is arranged intermediate the pin pair. The second pin end portions form a press fit connector configured to connect to the PCB. The second pin end portions comprise a press protrusion configured to cooperate with a press tool while being pressed in a PCB-opening of the PCB. The second electrically conductive shielding member defines a tool opening arranged at a position that allows movement of a press tool through the tool opening along a tool axis to access the press protrusion.

The present invention relates to an electrical connector including a first connector housing with a wall arranged substantially perpendicular to the connecting axis. The wall has an opening for insertion of a second connector housing. A first collar extends from the wall concentrically around the opening. A second collar extends from the wall concentrically around the first collar. The first collar and the second collar are spaced apart. A sleeve-shaped coding element is attached with a first end to the free end of the first collar. The first collar and the sleeve-shaped coding element are arranged concentrically around the opening. A sealing element is arranged in a sealing area between the first collar and the second collar. The sleeve-shaped coding element includes a supporting feature at its first end which is suitable for holding the sealing element in its position.
