An ultrasonic flowmeter comprising a conduit in a support housing and at least two ultrasonic transducers in a measuring insert which can be inserted into the support housing and the conduit perpendicularly to the conduit. The conduit comprises a circular cylindrical receptacle with a diameter larger than the inside diameter of the conduit and a depth encompassing the inside of the conduit, for inserting the measuring insert into the conduit perpendicular to the flow direction. Four ultrasonic transducers are provided in a wall of the measuring insert, the transducers define at least two measuring paths which cross each other in top view. The transducers are arranged in the measuring insert wall such that ultrasonic signals emitted and received by the ultrasonic transducers on the measuring paths have a transit time difference th&#x2212;tr dependent on the flow velocity v and/or the flow rate Q of a fluid flowing in the conduit.

Ultrasonic flowmeter

A measurement apparatus () and to a method provide for the determination of a flow rate (v) and/or of a throughflow (Q) of a fluid () flowing in a conduit (). At least one first ultrasonic transducer () and one second ultrasonic transducer () permit a flow rate determination via the time of flight of an ultrasound signal. To further improve the determination of a flow rate of a fluid using ultrasonic transducers, in particular at very high flow rates, and to enable the measurement of very high flow rates, a noise-measuring ultrasonic transducer () is provided that measures the noise generated in on the flowing past of the fluid () in the ultrasonic transducer, and a control and evaluation device () is configured to determine the flow rate (v) using the noise measurements.

An ultrasonic flowmeter for measuring the flow speed and/or the volumetric flow rate of a fluid includes a measurement sensor, at least two ultrasonic transducers, a pressure sensor, and a calibration connector. The ultrasonic flowmeter allows a simple and inexpensive calibration of the pressure sensor in the flowmeter.

The invention relates to a flow conditioner for conditioning a fluid flow comprising a pipe having a constriction with a reduced pipe cross-section, at least one ring-shaped element arranged inside the pipe which has an outer diameter which is smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe in the axial region of the pipe in which the at least one ring-shaped element is arranged, and having an areal web whose surface normal is not in parallel with the pipe axis. The invention further relates to a throughflow measurement system for measuring a fluid throughflow through a pipe having a measurement device and a flow conditioner in accordance with the invention arranged upstream of the measurement device.

An ultrasonic measurement apparatus () for measuring the flow velocity of a fluid is provided which flows in a pipeline in a main flow direction, wherein the ultrasonic measurement apparatus () has an ultrasonic measurement zone () with at least a pair of ultrasonic transducers (), an evaluation unit for determining the flow velocity from a propagation time difference of ultrasound transmitted and received with and against the flow, as well as a deflection unit, by means of which the fluid from the main flow direction is deflectable and suppliable to the ultrasonic measurement zone (). In this respect the deflection unit () forms a loop.
