An interactive method and system include at least one detector () configured to detect glazes of at least one viewer () looking at items (). A processor () is configured to calculate gaze durations, such as cumulative gaze durations per item of the items, identify the most looked at item(s) in accordance with the cumulative gaze durations, and provide information related to the most looked at items. A display device () displays the information, a list of the most looked at items, representations of the most looked at items, and/or audio/visual show related to at least one item of the most looked at items. At least one item () and/or item representation may be displayed more prominently than others ones of the most looked at items and/or item representations.

Gaze interaction for information display of gazed items

A highlighting method and an interaction system () include at least one controllable light emitting source () linked to an item (); and a processor () configured to turn on the controllable light emitting source () in response to user selection of the item (). The controllable light emitting source () may be embedded in a mat () or a strip (). The mat () may include a matrix of photo detectors or pressure sensors configured to detect the base or footprint of the item () when placed on the mat (). The periphery of the product or the footprint may be illuminated upon selecting the product. Alternatively or additionally, a background surface behind the product may be illuminated upon selection thereof.

A highlighting method and an interaction system () include a switchable mirror () facing a first side of an item () having a second side facing a viewer (); and a processor () configured to perform switching the mirror from a transparent or non-transparent state to a reflective state so that said first side of said item () becomes visible to the viewer () through reflection from the switchable mirror (). A system and method for detecting at least two-finger input on a touch screen of a display such as computer, etc. includes a display screen; a sensing grid arranged for sensing touch on said display screen; a plurality of electrodes connected electrically to the sensing grid. A controller receives an output from the sensing grid, and a module identifies at least two points on the grid indicating locations of the display screen that have been touched by a user and identifies a geographic portion of the display screen to be identified based on said at least two points. As the position of the fingers are relative to the position of the screen via change in a direction of a Z-coordinate, a variable zoom can be provided by the sensing grid commensurate with different distances that the multiple fingers are sensed from the display screen.

Use of a two finger input on touch screens

An interactive method and system include at least one detector () configured to detect the position of at least one user () in proximity of a panel (), such as a transparent panel of a shop window (). A processor () is provided which may be configured to activate a portion of the panel to display information. When a second user () is detected, then a second private screen () is activated substantially near the second user (). The location of the second private screen () relative the location of the first screen () is such that interference is reduced between the two users or screens.

An object for transmitting information to a user includes an information detection device for detecting and receiving an information signal, a touch detector for transmitting a touch detection signal upon detection of the user touching the object, and an electronic switch for electronically coupling the information detection device to a tactile stimulation unit upon receipt of the touch detection signal such that information signal is transmitted from the information detection device to a part of the user touching the object via the tactile stimulation unit. In this way, the object is suitable for transmitting information only to the user touching the object, and this information is hidden from and not transmitted to other users.
