The disclosure relates to a combiner box including input connections for string lines from a plurality of strings of photovoltaic modules, and output connections for a pair of output lines to an inverter. The combiner box further includes a switching device by means of which the strings are connected to the inverter and which comprises output-side switching contacts and, for each of the strings or for each pair of strings connected in parallel in a fixed manner in the combiner box, at least one separate input-side switching contact, and an overcurrent protection device, which interrupts occurring overcurrents from or to each of the strings or at least from or to each of the pairs of strings connected in parallel in a fixed manner in the combiner box. The switching device includes a switching-contact drive, which is controlled in order to selectively disconnect the strings from the inverter.

An inductor device has a plurality of inductor windings arranged on a common magnetic core and electrically connected, parallel to one another, to a common connection at one end of the inductor windings. The inductor windings are implemented by a one-part coil form arranged on the common magnetic core and comprising the common connection of the inductor windings. The inductor windings are wound around their common connection and the common magnetic core.

Parallel inverters connected to one inductor

A short-circuit switch for use with a first electrical conductor and a second electrical conductor includes a controllable semiconductor switch that is configured to short-circuit a voltage present between the first conductor and the second conductor responsive to receipt of a trigger, and a mechanical press-pack structure. The controllable semiconductor switch is a press-pack-type thyristor having a first planar electrode and a second planar electrode on contact sides situated opposite one another. The thyristor is disposed in the mechanical press-pack structure. The mechanical press-pack structure includes: a first terminal electrode that is configured to connect the first planar electrode to the first conductor, wherein the first terminal electrode is resiliently supported by a spring assembly; and a second terminal electrode that is configured to connect the second planar electrode to the second conductor. The press-pack structure forms a protective cover enveloping the thyristor.

Short-circuit switch having semiconductor switch and arrangement for short-circuiting a three-phase alternating voltage

An inverter includes two input lines for connecting the inverter to an AC power source, a buffer capacitance effective between the input lines, a grounded potential equalization busbar, an isolation monitoring device monitoring the electrical isolation of one of the two input lines with regard to the potential equalization busbar, and an overvoltage eliminating device having at least one overvoltage eliminator for draining overvoltages from the input lines to the potential equalization busbar. The at least one overvoltage eliminator is connected between that input line, whose electric isolation with regard to the potential equalization busbar is monitored, and the potential equalization busbar, without any fuse being connected in series with the at least one overvoltage eliminator. Any overvoltage eliminator of the overvoltage eliminating device, which is connected between the other of the two input lines and the potential equalization busbar, if present, is connected in series with a fuse.
