The invention describes a laser printing system () for illuminating an object moving relative to a laser module of the laser printing system () in a working plane (), the laser module comprising at least two laser arrays of semiconductor lasers and at least one optical element, wherein the optical element is adapted to image laser light emitted by the laser arrays, such that laser light of semiconductor lasers of one laser array is imaged to one pixel in the working plane of the laser printing system, and wherein the laser printing system is a 3D printing system for additive manufacturing and wherein two, three, four or a multitude of laser modules () are provided, which are arranged in columns (c, c) perpendicular to a direction of movement () of the object in the working plane (), and wherein the columns are staggered with respect to each other such that a first laser module () of a first column of laser modules (c) is adapted to illuminate a first area (y) of the object and a second laser module () of a second column (c) of laser modules is adapted to illuminate a second area (y) of the object, wherein the first area (y) is adjacent to the second area (y) such that continuous illumination of the object is enabled.

Laser printing system

The invention describes a laser printing system () for illuminating an object moving relative to a laser module of the laser printing system () in a working plane () and a corresponding method of laser printing. The laser module comprises at least two laser arrays () of semiconductor lasers () and at least one optical element (). The optical element () is adapted to image laser light emitted by the laser arrays (), such that laser light of semiconductor lasers () of one laser array () is imaged to one pixel in a working plane () of the laser printing system () and an area element of the pixel is illuminated by means of at least two semiconductor lasers (). The optical element does not project or focus laser light of each single semiconductor laser () to the working plane () but images the whole laser arrays to the working plane. The overlap of the laser light emitted by the semiconductor lasers () may improve the homogeneity of illumination or energy input and the reliability regarding malfunctions of single semiconductor lasers ().

The invention describes carrier structure () for assembling a semiconductor lighting module, comprising at least two sub carriers () and an alignment structure () mechanically coupling the sub carriers (). The alignment structure () is adapted such that the mechanical coupling to at least a part of the sub carriers () disappears during thermal mating the carrier structure () on a carrier (). The invention relates to a lighting apparatus () for providing light for processing an object (). A ring of light sources generates processing light for processing the object and an imaging unit () images the ring of light sources onto a working plane () in which the object is to be processed, wherein the ring of light sources and the imaging unit are configured such that images of the light sources in the working plane are distributed equidistantly in a direction being parallel to a diameter of the imaged ring in the working plane. The ring arrangement allows for a high quality imaging with a relatively small and technically simple optical element. A relatively small lighting apparatus can therefore be provided, which can be used for applications like laser printing.

A laser projection system includes at least one laser light source, a projection screen and a spatial light modulator for projecting a laser beam of the laser light source to form an image on the projection screen. The projection screen includes a luminescent layer which upon excitation by the laser beam emits blue light. The luminescent layer contains MSiAlNO:Eu(with M=Sr, Ba,; 0&#x2266;x&#x2266;1; 0&#x2266;a&#x2266;1) as a luminescent material. With this material laser light of a laser diode emitting in the wavelength region of 405 nm can be converted to blue light of 450 nm with high efficiency. The proposed projection system, therefore, is suitable for RGB projection using laser diodes as laser light sources.

The present invention is directed to a laser resonator emitting visible radiation with reduced speckle noise, wherein said optical resonator is formed by at least two mirrors at both ends of a visible radiation emitting lasing material, wherein that optical resonator enhances multimode operation, so that said visible radiation emitting lasing material emits a spectrally broadened visible radiation, wherein the enveloping function of said spectrally broadened visible radiation has a full width at half maximum (FWHW) within 1 nm to 15 nm.
