A rotor spinning machine includes a plurality of work stations arranged side by side between two front-side ends along at least one longitudinal side of the machine. Each work station includes work elements for producing and winding a yarn, such as a feed device, an opening device, a spinning rotor, and a winding device. A suction device provides a negative spinning pressure at the work stations and includes a negative pressure source arranged at each of the two front-side ends of the rotor spinning machine. Each negative pressure source is connected to a separate negative pressure channel that extends in a longitudinal direction of the rotor spinning machine only over a part of a total number of the work stations. Each work station includes an individual drive for the spinning rotor.

A spinning unit of an air jet spinning machine with a spinning nozzle, which serves the purpose of producing a yarn from a fiber composite fed to the spinning nozzle. The spinning nozzle features an inlet for the fiber composite, an internal vortex chamber, a yarn formation element protruding into the vortex chamber along with an outlet for the yarn produced inside the vortex chamber. The spinning unit is allocated with an additive supply, which is designed to supply the spinning nozzle with an additive. The additive supply includes at least one top frame fixed on the spinning nozzle, through which the additive is able to be fed to the spinning nozzle. In addition, a top frame for fixing on a spinning nozzle of an air jet spinning machine is proposed.

A method and system for operating an air jet spinning machine, that features at least one spinning unit with one spinning nozzle for producing a yarn. During normal operation of the spinning unit, a fiber composite is fed to the spinning nozzle through an inlet and in a predefined transport direction. The fiber composite within a vortex chamber of the spinning nozzle receives a twist with the assistance of a vortex air flow, such that a yarn is formed from the fiber composite, which leaves the spinning nozzle through an outlet. After an interruption in yarn production, a piecing process is carried out, with which one yarn end on the spool side moves counter to the transport direction through the spinning nozzle, is overlaid with one end of the fiber composite after passing through the spinning nozzle and, together with this, is brought through the inlet into the spinning nozzle. After conclusion of the piecing process, the production of yarn is continued through the resumption of normal operation. During the piecing process, at least temporarily, additive is applied at the end of the fiber composite.

Spinning unit of an air jet spinning machine and the operation of such a machine

A method for operating an air jet spinning machine having at least one spinning unit with one spinning nozzle for producing a yarn is provided. During the operation of the spinning unit, the spinning nozzle feeds a fiber composite through an inlet in a predefined transport direction. The fiber composite within a vortex chamber of the spinning nozzle receives a twist with the assistance of a vortex air flow, such that a yarn is formed from the fiber composite. With the assistance of at least one sensor system, the yarn leaving the outlet is monitored with regard to defined yarn flaws. The production of yarn is interrupted upon the detection of a corresponding yarn flaw. Between the detection of the specified yarn flaw and the interruption of the yarn production, a cleaning process is carried out during which an additive is fed to the spinning unit and is applied to the fiber composite and/or the yarn produced from the fiber composite and/or on parts of the spinning nozzle.

Air jet spinning machine and method for operating the same

A spinning unit is provided for an air jet spinning machine with a spinning nozzle used to manufacture yarn from a fiber strand. The spinning nozzle has an inlet for the fiber strand, a vortex chamber, a yarn forming element protruding into the vortex chamber, and a draw-off channel for the yarn. An additive supply is assigned to the spinning nozzle and designed so that the spinning nozzle is supplied with an additive. The yarn forming element has at least one additive duct that ends in the vortex chamber or the draw-off channel. The additive supply encompasses an additive supply line connected to the additive duct so that an additive introduced into the additive duct via the additive supply line can be introduced into the draw-off channel and/or the vortex chamber. A process for operating an air jet spinning machine with at least one spinning unit is provided. An additive is added, at least intermittently, to the spinning nozzle of the spinning unit while it is operating with the help of an additive supply. The added additive is delivered through an additive duct of the yarn forming element to the draw-off channel and/or the vortex chamber.

A spinning point of a spinning machine includes a spinning unit, a drawing-off device for the yarn downstream of the spinning unit and a yarn storage downstream of the drawing-off device for the intermediate storage of a section of yarn. The yarn storage has a sensor system for monitoring the filling level of the yarn storage (). The spinning point includes a winding device for the yarn downstream of the yarn storage, along with a return unit, with the assistance of which an end of the yarn found within the yarn storage after a yarn break is returned into the area of the spinning point. The winding device () is stopped in the case of a yarn break in such a manner that, after the stop, an end section of the yarn remains within the yarn storage (). Subsequent to this, a part of the yarn is separated with the assistance of a yarn separation unit internal to the spinning point, and that the end of the yarn that newly arises in this manner is returned with the assistance of the return unit internal to the spinning point into the area of the spinning point, and that a piecing process is then carried out.

Spinning point of a spinning machine and method for the operation of the same

A method interrupts yarn production on a spinning machine having at least one spinning point having an inlet for a fiber material and an outlet for the yarn made from the fiber material, and wherein the spinning machine comprises a delivery device for feeding the fiber material into the spinning point, a take-off device for drawing off the yarn out of the spinning point, a winding device for winding up the produced yarn, and a yarn monitoring unit for monitoring at least one yarn parameter. Yarn production is interrupted upon detecting a defined deviation of the monitored yarn parameter from a target value, upon changing bobbins at the winding device, and/or prior to switching off the spinning machine. The feed speeds of the delivery device, the take-off device, and the winding device are gradually reduced to a stop in order to interrupt the yarn production, wherein the reducing takes place such that the end of the produced yarn is located between the outlet of the spinning point and the winding device after the reducing is completed.

Spinning machine and method for interrupting yarn production on a spinning machine

A method is provided for interrupting yarn production on a spinning machine upon detecting a defined deviation of a monitored yarn parameter from a target value, upon changing bobbins at a winding device, and/or prior to switching off the spinning machine. The feed speeds of the delivery device, the take-off device, and the winding device are gradually reduced to a stop in order to interrupt the yarn production, wherein the reducing takes place such that an end of the produced yarn is located within the spinning point after the reducing is completed.

The spinning station of a spinning machine includes a yarn end disposal means, arranged between the outlet of the spinning device and the winding device, and with the aid of which an end section of the produced yarn is separated from the rest of the yarn and eliminated. Furthermore, a process for removing an end section of a yarn at a spinning station of a spinning machine prior to the subsequent piecing process is proposed, wherein the end section is gripped, cut off, and subsequently eliminated from the area of the spinning station with the aid of a yarn end disposal means arranged between the outlet of the spinning device and the winding device.

The invention relates to a method of operation for an air jet spinning machine, which is characterized in that the spinning process is interrupted when a yarn fault is detected, and subsequent to the interruption of the spinning process, a piecing process is initiated which is at least partly carried out by the spinning station and in which a number of yarn process and handling devices directly assigned to the spinning station are applied. Furthermore, an air jet spinning machine is proposed which permits such a piecing method.

An overend take-off crosswound bobbin and a method for its production are designed in such a way that the density of the finished crosswound bobbin is increased and the run-off characteristics during further processing are optimized. For this purpose, in one variant parallel windings are introduced at intervals. In another variant, when the bobbin diameter is small the yarn is wound on at a smaller pitch angle than for a larger diameter. Furthermore, a traversing stroke which is reduced by comparison with the bobbin width is displaced along the bobbin width.
