An open-end wrench for ratcheting increments of 30&#xb0; has a short clamping jaw supported on a wrench handle so as to be pivotable about a first pivot point. A long clamping jaw is supported on the wrench handle so as to be pivotable about a second pivot point. The short clamping jaw and the long clamping jaw are each pressed into a clamping position by a spring load and can be pivoted into a receiving position against the spring load. In the clamping position, the short clamping jaw and the long clamping jaw reach around a hexagonal object. To pivot into the receiving position, the short clamping jaw is pressed against a sliding surface of the long clamping jaw by the spring load. In the clamping position, an opening width the clamping jaws is more than 55% of the distance between two opposite lateral edges of the hexagonal object.

A floor mop has two mop supporting wings, which carry an absorbent mop layer and are hinge-connected to a common supporting centerpiece. A mop handle is hinge-mounted to the supporting centerpiece via a Cardan joint. A squeezing slider, which is displaceable along the mop handle and is guided non-rotatably, has two rigid squeezing arms whose ends can each be brought into engagement with a guide surface on the upper side of the respectively assigned mop supporting wings via rollers. Each mop supporting wing forms a rectangular trapezium or triangle. The edges running at right angles to the hinge edge of each mop supporting wing form a common straight continuous front edge.

Floor mop

A wet floor wiping device includes a mop made of absorbent material and a mop frame exhibiting a center carrier piece () attached to a handle (). Mounted pivotably at each hinge edge () at the center carrier piece () are two mop carrier wings (), the inner surfaces of which, carrying the mop, can be pressed one against another by means of a squeeze feature. At least one of the two side edges () extending from the hinge edge () is angled in relationship to the opposite side edge (). Each mop carrier wing () forms a trapezoid including a right angle, the longer base line of which is the hinge edge ().

Wet floor wiping device

The invention relates to a spanner for hexagonal shaped objects (), comprising an upper and lower jaw (or), which are respectively connected in a single-piece to the limb of a handle (or). Both jaws () are connected together in a pivoting manner in a length-adjustable single joint (). The upper jaw () comprises a flat, smooth clamping surface () and a stop (). The lower jaw () comprises a curved convex, flat clamping cam surface (), which lies adjacent to a respectively associated lower flank surface () for all hexagonal objects () of all wrench sizes which are to be accommodated.

Clamping wrench

A mop wringer for a device for cleaning wet floors has a fixed squeezing plate which is positioned between wringer sidewalls. A movable squeezing plate is pivoted to the sidewalls. An actuating lever is configured as a two-armed lever with a shorter lever arm and a longer arm. The actuating lever is connected to the movable squeezing plate by the shorter lever arm and a push guide. A pressing action is carried out by pivoting the actuating lever away from the movable squeezing plate. In the final pressing position, the push guide forms an almost extended toggle lever joint with the shorter lever arm.

A floor mop has two carrier plates () that are connected with a common carrier center piece () in jointed manner and carry an absorbent mop covering (). A mop handle () is affixed on the carrier center piece () by way of a cardan joint (), in jointed manner. Surface cleaning device

A wringer basket ( ) for wet mops has a basket cone ( ) that has a perforated basket cone bottom ( ) and a basket cone wall ( ) that rises from the latter on all sides, with slits. A subsequent basket edge ( ) carries attachment elements ( ) for setting the wringer basket ( ) onto the edge of a bucket. The basket cone wall ( ) has a convex curvature towards the inside of the basket cone ( ), seen in cross-section. Wringer basket for wet mops

The invention relates to an open-end wrench having a clamping jaw which is rigidly connected to a wrench handle in a fixed manner. A spring-loaded, moveable clamping jaw is pivotally mounted on the fixed clamping jaw. A recess, which recoils opposite the plane of the clamping surface, is connected to the clamping surface of the fixed clamping jaw on the gripping side. The moveable clamping jaw has a recess located in the area between the clamping surface of the jaw and the pivot point thereof. In an opened state of the wrench, said recess approximately corresponds to the recess behind the fixed clamping jaw. The wrench can be handled similarly to a fixed open-end wrench, whereby it enables a ratcheting action and has a self-clamping operation.

Open end wrench

An open-end wrench for turning a hexagon object has a wrench head formed by first and second jaws. The first jaw includes a first front impact point. The second jaw includes a second front impact point and an outer impact point spaced forwardly from the second front impact point by a recess disposed in the second jaw. A hexagonal object can be inserted into the wrench in a first orientation wherein first and second parallel surfaces of the object are disposed parallel to the first and second jaws and wherein the first and second front impact points are arranged to contact respective side surfaces of the object at locations spaced by a first distance from a nearest end thereof. After being turned by the wrench, the object is reinserted into the wrench at an orientation offset by 30 degrees from the previous orientation, with a corner of the object disposed in the recess. The first and second front impact points are arranged to contact respective sides of the object at locations spaced by a second distance from the nearest end thereof. The second distance is of the same length as the first distance.

Open-end wrench

A self-clamping wrench has one fixed clamping jaw, which is rigidly connected to a handle and one mobile clamping jaw, which is mounted thereon in such a way that it can turn. A hand lever is located on the handle on the same side as the mobile clamping jaw. A leaf spring, which is fixed on the hand lever, acts upon the mobile clamping jaw and when the hand lever is closed, forms a tension spring which pushes said clamping jaw into its closed position. When the hand lever is released, the leaf spring acts as a lever spring, which opens the hand lever and the mobile clamping jaw.

A floor mop includes a handle, and a mop holder fixed to the handle and carrying a flat mop. The mop comprises two mop halves each mounted on a mop-carrying surface of the holder. The mop-carrying surfaces are located on respective holder arms which are able to swing between raised and lowered positions. In the raised position the mop-carrying surfaces are inclined downwardly and outwardly. The mop assumes a tapered shape when held in the raised position, so that it can easily be introduced into a relatively small squeezing device for being wrung out. Instead of being disposed on swingable arms, the mop-supporting surfaces could be disposed in a one-piece holder and permanently arranged in a downwardly and outwardly inclined state.

A cleaning mechanism comprises a handle, a mop head connected to the handle, and a cleaning head of absorbent material (i.e., absorbent strips or a sponge, etc.) connected to the mop head and disposed beneath a lower surface thereof. A strainer mounted on a pail includes an upwardly facing surface, and a retainer lip for receiving an edge of the mop head to form a fulcrum about which the mop head can be swung for compressing the cleaning head between the upwardly facing surface of the strainer and the downwardly facing surface of the mop head. The downwardly facing surface of the mop head is of convex curvature when viewed in side elevation, and the upwardly facing surface of the strainer is of complementary concave curvature. This achieves a uniform squeezing of the cleaning head when the mop head is swung about the fulcrum to compress the cleaning head between the surfaces of the mop head and strainer.

A cleaning mop includes a hollow device handle carrying a mop head at its lower end. A cylindrical press sleeve is mounted on the outside of the device handle for longitudinal movement relative thereto. A press head stick is slidably mounted inside the device handle for longitudinal movement relative thereto. A press head is affixed to a lower end of the press head handle. The press head handle can be positioned such that the press head is spaced from a lower edge of the press sleeve to form a press gap therewith. By then raising the device handle, the mop can be pulled through the press gap to squeeze water therefrom.
