Provided is a conveyor belt link, of the type used in endless conveyor belts assembled from a plurality of such modular conveyor belt links, where the modular conveyor belt link has a main body extending in the modular belt link's width direction, and where a plurality of eye parts extend forwards and rearwards from the main body, the eye parts being spaced in the width direction of the modular belt link, where forwards extending eye parts are offset relative to rearwards extending eye parts, such that when two modular conveyor belt links are pushed together the eye parts on one link will inter-fit between eye parts on the other modular belt link, wherein the modular belt link laterally is limited by two sides, and that the outermost eye parts on either side are provided with a cutout, such that the width of the modular conveyor belt link is smaller in the cutout than outside the cutout.

Modular conveyor belt link

A spiral conveyor construction comprises an endless conveyor belt guided on a conveying path. At least a part of the conveying path surrounds a drive tower. Spaced along the periphery of the drive tower are arranged vertical engagement members. Additionally on a lower section of the drive tower adjacent blocks are provided, radially projecting further from the drive tower than the engagement members, and where the blocks are provided with a radially extending secondary rib.

Modular belt link module consisting of a main body element and an insert, where the modular belt link module is of the type which when assembled with a plurality of substantially identical modular belt link modules constitutes a conveyor belt, where each main body element has a central part, from which central part eye parts project in a forward and rearward direction with respect to the intended travelling direction, such that eye parts along a front part of one modular belt link may be interleafed between eye parts on a rear part of an adjacent modular belt link module, and where the eye parts each are provided with an aperture arranged laterally to the intended travelling direction, such that when the eye parts are interleafed, the apertures of adjacent eye parts overlap, and a connection pin may be inserted laterally at least through some of the apertures, hingely connecting adjacent modular belt link modules, wherein the central part and a plurality of the eye parts are provided with a continuous cavity, which cavity extends from either an upper or lower surface and towards the opposite surface, the surfaces defined relative to how the modular belt link module is arranged in the use situation, and where the cavity is at least partly enclosed by the modular belt link module material, and where an insert substantially corresponding in shape to the cavity and at least filling up the cavity is provided.

Modular belt module

Conveyor belts are made from modular links having offset forward and rearward projecting eye parts to intercalate eye parts from one belt link between eye parts with oval lateral apertures. Connecting rods inserted through aligned apertures hingedly connect adjacent links. Clips restrict lateral turning of the belt links. Clips have general U-shapes with two legs, a bridge portion end, and opposite free ends. Projecting members at the free ends have lengths parallel to the legs and smaller than the lengths of the apertures in the belt links in which the clip is to be installed, and have heights equivalent to or smaller than the heights of the aperture in the belt link in which the clip is to be installed. The lateral distance between the two legs of the U, is larger than the lateral extent of an eye part in the belt link in which the clip is installed.

Restrictor clip

A conveyor belt for following a conveyance path with straight and curved conveyance path sections is constructed of module rows of a module () or a plurality of modules situated side by side in the transverse direction of the conveyor belt. Adjacent module rows are connected to each other by means of connecting pins (). Each module comprises a set () of first aligned spaced fingers () with transverse aperture (), and also a set () of second aligned spaced fingers () with transverse aperture (), which in general are disposed in a staggered position relative to the first fingers (). The mutual distance between at least the three outermost fingers of a set situated side by side and having the same width in a set is greater than the mutual distance between fingers situated side by side at a distance from the abovementioned at least three outermost fingers. A shorter run-in length and run-out length of a curved conveyance section of the conveyance path is achieved in this way.
