The invention relates to a multilayered biaxially oriented polyolefin film in the form of a release film in a laminate which is coated on an outer surface thereof with a cold seal adhesive. The release film comprises a base layer and at least one outer layer. At least one layer of the release film contains wax having an average molecular weight Mn of 200-3000. The invention also relates to a method for producing the film and the use thereof.

The invention relates to the use of a biaxially oriented polyolefin film as a label film. The inventive film consists of a base layer and at least one cover layer. Said cover layer contains as the main component a copolymer or terpolymer consisting of one alkene and unsaturated carboxylic acids or the esters thereof and low amounts of an additive. The cover layer is characterized by excellent and divers adhesion to various polymer materials from which containers are formed. It is no longer necessary to apply adhesives, primers, coatings etc. in a separate step after production of the film.

The invention relates to a biaxially oriented polypropylene multilayer film, which comprises at least one base layer (B), an intermediate layer (I) and a top layer (I), and which contains anti-fog additives. The anti-fog additive is only added to the intermediate layer (I) in a quantity ranging from 0.5 to 8 wt. % with regard to the weight of the intermediate layer, and the film contains a maximum of 0.5 to &#x3c;1 wt. % of anti-fog additives with regard to the total weight of the film. The film is suited for packaging moist goods.

The invention relates to a multi-layered biaxially orientated polyolefin film comprising a base layer and at least one protective coating. Said protective coating contains, as the main component, one copolymer or terpolymer I, which seals against PVDC and acrylate lacquers and coatings and consists of an olefin and unsaturated carboxylate acids or the esters thereof, and small quantities of wax. The film is provided on one side with a PVDC or acrylate coating so that it can be used as roll-wrap packaging.

A multilayer biaxially oriented, polyolefin film consisting of a base layer, at least one first intermediate layer and a first cover layer that is applied to said intermediate layer. The first intermediate layer is made of a terpolymer consisting of three different monomers (a), (b) and (c): whereby (a) is an olefin, (b) is an unsaturated carboxylic acid or esters thereof, and (c) is an unsaturated carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid ester, which is different from (b), or is a carboxylic acid anhydride. In addition, the first cover layer contains a copolymer, and a top layer comprising a copolymer of an olefin, and an unsaturated carboxylic acid or esters thereof, and the first cover layer additionally contains an additive.

The invention relate to the use of a multi-layer polypropylene film as an in-mold label used in a blow molding methods. According to the invention, the label film is laid inside the hollow mold of a blow molding machine, comprises an inner protective layer that faces the receptacle to be molded, and comprises an outer protective layer that is in contact with the hollow mold, whereby the inner protective layer has a roughness Rz of at least 3.5 &#x3bc;m.

The present invention relates to single- or multilayer films and one or more layers comprising at least one polyolefin molding composition containing at least one polyolefin derived from at least one olefin having at least 2 carbon atoms, of the formula R &mdash;CH&boxH;CH&mdash;R , in which R and R are identical or different and are a hydrogen atom or a straight-chain or branched C -C -alkyl radical, or R and R , together with the atoms connecting them, form a ring or ring system, and the polyolefin has been prepared by means of metallocene catalysts. The present invention furthermore relates to a process for the production of films and layers in which a polyolefin molding composition having a particle size of from 20 &mgr;m to 5000 &mgr;m is used or prepared. The shaped polyolefin molding composition is melt-mixed with at least one additive and shaped. The melt-mixed and shaped material is melted at a temperature of from 150&deg; C. to 300&deg; C. The molten material is cooled and at the same time shaped to give a film or layer. Finally, the present invention also relates to the use of films and layers for the production of articles such as bags, composite materials and laminates.

Esters of .alpha.-fluoroacrylic acid are accessible by hydrolysis of an .alpha.-hydroxymethyl-.alpha.-fluoromalonic acid ester, decarboxylation and dehydration of the hydrolysis product and subsequent esterification of the resulting .alpha.-fluoroacrylic acid with an alcohol. The esters are polymerizable and are suitable for use as a starting material for preparing fluoropolymers which in turn are usable as materials for manufacturing transparent articles. The polymers are high-molecular and non-crystalline and have softening temperatures of above 100.degree. C.
