A method, a system and a computer program product are disclosed for referencing medical electronically available patient-related data records which are stored in a distributed manner in a computer-based network, including a multiplicity of computer-based entities. In at least one embodiment, a request for patient-related data records is generated on the basis of an original identifier and is sent to an index server. By accessing a table, the index server checks whether entries or data records are stored for the respective patient in the respective repository. If so, it inserts this reference to the storage location into the result. The request is forwarded from index server to index server until all index servers have been processed, so that the end result can be forwarded to the requesting workstation with all references to requested patient-related data records.

Referencing of patient-related information in a distributed medical system

A method and system for providing a customer with a service upon a service request. The method includes retrieving a dataset from a database for identifying a qualified service person using information about the service, the service person and a customer; establishing communication with the customer; and providing the customer with the service. After the service is performed, the retrieved dataset is updated to maintain accurate information stored in the database.

Method and system for providing a service

The invention relates to a sensor device for monitoring accelerations to which an object is subjected. In order to detect whether a value has exceeded or is below a threshold for the acceleration to which objects have been subjected in the past, i.e. without having visual contact with the sensor, the inventive sensor device includes an acceleration sensor, which is permanently linked to the object to be monitored, so that a relative movement between the acceleration sensor and the object is prevented, and an RFID transceiver for non-contact coupling of electrical energy into the acceleration sensor and for sending out radio signals as a function of the physical state of the acceleration sensor.

The present invention provides an efficient and simple method and system for providing a customer with a service on demand. The invention is based on providing a plurality of interconnected technical devices with remote access. During operation of a technical installation including the technical devices, operating data are acquired, encrypted and stored in a operation database. Upon an explicit service request by the customer, at least one of the technical devices sets up a remote connection to a service center, preferably by using a smart card including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) data for validating the smart card, where the remote connection is verified and the encrypted data stored in the operation database are read out and decrypted. Based on the decrypted data&#x2014;which represent a current status of the technical installation&#x2014;, a service activity is efficiently performed at the technical installation, either remotely or locally.

Method and system for providing a service on demand

The invention relates to a multiple signal cable system having a plurality of individual plug heads formed at the free ends of the cables for connection to a corresponding number of counter-piece contacts on a unitary adapter. The present invention permits a simplified manipulation of the multiple plug heads for connection with the adapter, while also affording rearrangement of the sequence of individual plug heads in accordance with the particular adapter. The individual plug heads are connected together in a consolidated, unitary arrangement by means of a housing collar having a sequence of side-by-side chambers for respectively securing the plug heads tightly therein. Lock means are provided on the housing and plug heads to secure the plug heads against relative movement and prevent the individual plug heads from falling out or being withdrawn from the unitary arrangement; however, the lock means are releasable to permit removal or rearrangement of the plug heads as needed.

Multiple plug

In an exemplary embodiment, primary and secondary coupling elements are disposed in a recess of a first housing and in a second housing which can be inserted into the recess of the first housing as a plug part. The coupling elements exhibit connection surfaces which are fitted to one another and via which a coupling location is produced upon production of the plug-type connection. The goal of the disclosure is to construct a galvanically separating coupling location of the type initially cited which, given particularly high electric strength and given optimum insulation, allows energy and/or signal transmission with an optimally high efficiency. This object is inventively achieved in that the coupling elements are suspended in a floating and resilient manner in the respective housings relative to at least one connection surface, preferably, however, relative to respective connection surfaces which enclose the respective coupling elements.

Galvanically separating coupling location for energy and/or signal

In an exemplary embodiment, a device housing with a signal processing part, includes at least one recess into which at least one insert with a cladding of insulation material of high electric strength can be inserted as a signal transmission part, whereby both the recess wall and the insert are carriers of mutually cooperating primary and secondary coupling elements of a galvanically separating coupling location for energy and signal transmission, the coupling elements, however, only combining to form the coupling location when the insert is inserted into the recess. The object of the disclosure is to create such a device which allows of combinations consisting of the recess and the insert which are dimensioned to provide as large a volume or as large a surface area as desired without having a leakage current which may be possibly flowing assuming an inadmissibly high value as a result. This object is achieved in that the recess in the device housing is lined with an insulating body likewise of insulating material of high electric strength or that such an insulating body itself forms the recess, with the insulating body finally accepting the insert in its interior space.

Device for acquiring and processing electrical signals

The object of the disclosure is to construct an insert which, given the simplest structure, is optimally insulated and voltage-stable. This goal is achieved in that the insert is composed of a jacket housing of highly insulating synthetic, for example, amino-butadiene-styrol (ABS) or the like, and of a layer packet comprised of at least two shielding plates of, for example, aluminum or sheet steel, with a printed circuit board structure seated between them as a carrier for those components which are required for the energy and/or signal transmission, said layer packet being designed so as to be insertable into the highly insulating jacket housing.
