A heading machine includes first and second rotating cutting heads each having an axis of rotation extending substantially in a longitudinal direction of the machine, a first cutting roller having an axis of rotation extending substantially horizontal and transverse to the longitudinal direction of the machine, and a further cutting device supported on the cutting frame and arranged to cut off the cusps of unmined material left on side wall. The machine further includes a side stabilizer, and can cut a rectangular profile without leaving cusps left on the side wall.

A flexible material handling apparatus is arranged to be installed on a full face heading machine. The apparatus includes a material handling member and a linkage member coupled together in a head-tail manner by a joint connection, and the linkage member at the other end may be coupled to a frame of a heading machine. The entire apparatus may be retracted to rest on the side of the machine frame and maintained there by a locking means. The material handling member may be swivelled about two separate vertical axes and brought outwardly to an oblique front position, where one or more locking means may be included to secure the material handling member fixed in place relative to the machine frame.

In a device for sealing a bore hole and discharging drill cuttings and stripped excavation material, including a housing adapted to receive sealing elements and an opening capable of being connected to the bore hole, one side wall of the housing is provided with at least one opening for the connection of a haulage duct, wherein the housing end side facing the bore hole is equipped with a lockable, particularly screwable, sealing flange () for the detachable connection with a bore hole lining (). The sealing flange () is rotationally and sealingly mounted within the housing and carries projections, in particular an annular brim () which is overlapped by a stop () of the housing.
