In the production of a glass laminate wherein two panes are subjected to deformation with single or double curvature, a screen-printed pattern on at least one of the panes is dried by heating below 300.degree. C. to evaporate the printing oil before the panes are stacked for deformation and simultaneously baking on the dry enamel pattern. The panes are then separated, a plastic sheet interposed and the resulting stack is bonded to form the laminate.

Process for producing a laminated glass pane, especially for a motor

A process is described for direct determination of complex corrosive environmental conditions, which comprises exposing a glass surface to the environment and examing the glass surface before and after exposure using a measurement method based on radiation, in particular a IR-spectroscopic method, in order to determine corrosion effects, in particular water absorption and ion exchange. Glass sensors suitable for use in this process are likewise described.

A lacquer system which essentially comprises a silicic acid heteropolyconsate, a flake-shaped or lamellar filler, a solvent and, if appropriate a conventional synthetic resin for lacquers is suitable for producing anti-corrosion coatings, especially on glass surfaces.

A coating which does not reduce the strength of a glass pane and consists of an aluminum phosphate binder in combination with a flake or platelet inorganic pigment is screen-printed on the glass and burned into the latter. The coating can be made conductive by incorporating graphite and/or carbon black therein.

A process for making a fire-retardant composition in which monoaluminumphosphate is reacted with boric acid in a weight ratio 10:1 to 25:1, and to which preferably aluminum oxide in the form of aluminumhydroxide gel is added. A method of heat-sealing substrates, particularly glass to glass or glass to other materials, which comprises using as a heat-sealing medium a silicic acid heteropolycondensate prepared by hydrolysis and polycondensation of at least one organosilane and at least one component selected from the group consisting of silicon-functional silanes, substantially involatile oxides soluble in the reaction medium, or compounds convertible thereto, and organofunctional silanes. The heat-sealing bonds obtained are strong, durable and moisture resistant, the excellent moisture resistance being of special benefit in the heat-sealing of glass substrates.
