A method and a configuration for transmitting data over a radio interface which is organized into timeslots with finite radio blocks in accordance with a TDMA subscriber separation method are described. In the method, radio stations transmit, within a timeslot, at least two training sequences that are known to a respectively receiving radio station and by which the latter carries out channel estimations. The training sequences are positioned here in timeslot in such a way that the maximum distance between a data symbol and a nearest training sequence is minimized.

Method and configuration for transmitting data over a radio interface in a radio communications system

A radio communications system provides frequency channels which are formed both by time slots and by broadband frequency ranges, and in which information from a plurality of connections is simultaneously transmitted between mobile stations and base stations wherein it is possible to distinguish the information from different connections in accordance with a connection-specific fine structure. Frequency channels are repeatedly provided for time synchronization of the mobile stations in the downward direction in which a signal form is transmitted in addition to information from further connections. The mobile station to be synchronized determines from received signals at least one instant of the arrival of the signal form, which is subsequently used by the mobile station for time synchronization. The system is advantageously applied, for example, in TDD mode for the third mobile communications generation which combines a TDMA and CDMA subscriber separation method.

Method, mobile station and base station for time synchronization of the mobile station in a radio communications system

A TDMA/CDMA radio communications system provides frequency channels which are formed both by time slots and by broadband frequency ranges, and in which information from a plurality of connections can be simultaneously transmitted between mobile stations and a base station wherein it is possible to distinguish the information from different connections in accordance with a connection-specific fine structure. Frequency channels are repeatedly provided for frequency synchronization of the mobile stations in the downward direction in which a symbol sequence is transmitted. From received signals, the mobile station to be synchronized determines estimated values for the symbol sequence and compares these estimated values with a reference sequence. It is thereby possible to calculate a phase drift in the estimated values with reference to the reference sequence wherein a frequency offset, which is used for frequency synchronization, is determined from the phase drift.

Method, mobile station and base station for frequency synchronization of a mobile station in a radio communications system

The invention relates to a method and a base station for transmitting data in a downlink direction over a radio interface in a mobile radio communications system. The base station transmits the data in the downlink direction to a radio station in radio blocks that are organized in a time division multiplex method. Recurring training sequences are inserted between the radio blocks without decreasing the transmission power used for transmitting the data. The radio station carries out a channel estimation by means of the training sequences.

A mobile radio telephone system comprises a plurality of operatively coupled base stations, having first and second radio communications apparatus which operate to effect radio communications with at least one mobile station via first and second radio signals with radio frequencies which occupy common parts of the radio frequency spectrum, wherein a frequency re-use pattern associated with the first radio communications apparatus is substantially matched to a frequency re-use pattern associated with the second radio communications apparatus.

Mobile radio telephone system

For transmitting voice between subscriber stations of a radio system, particularly a mobile radio telephone system, whereby an analog voice signal is digitally coded by voice frames (S), the voice frames (S) are first converted into voice-coded voice frames (S1). Subsequently, a plurality of these voice frames (S1) is combined to form a multi-voice frame (MSF1). These multi-voice frames (MSF1) are transmitted with error-protection. At the reception side, the multi-voice frames (MSF4) are in turn divided into voice-coded voice frames (S4) and, subsequently, the digital voice information contained in the transmitted voice frames is in turn converted into an analog voice signal.

Method and arrangement for transmitting voice in a radio system

A radio transmission system is disclosed for use in wireless local loop and hand-held applications which employs an intelligent frequency hopping method whereby the optimum frequencies for a transmission from or, respectively, to the subscriber stations are determined for every transmission direction and a corresponding, optimum allocation of the frequencies to the connections is made.

A radio system having frequency optimization, particularly a mobile radio telephone system having base stations and subscribers (low speed mobile stations or stationary stations) is provided. In order to avoid fluctuations and interruptions of the reception level, the invention provides that the reception level and/or transmission quality of all frequencies or channels or of a part of the frequencies or channels of the channels available in a base station are constantly measured in every subscriber station (mobile station or stationary station). The measured values are communicated to the base stations wherein the frequencies or channels are allocated to the subscribers based on the overall information so that an optimally optimum frequency or transmission quality is allocated to each connection.

Radio system with frequency optimization

A ring-shaped network structure having a plurality of rings of range sections and a sector subdivision is provided, the number of which corresponds to the number of cells positioned along a ring. Positioned in the center is a base station with antennae arranged at a raised location for illuminating all cells or for the reception from the individual cells respectively. The antennae are designed as strongly focusing directional antennae which supply at least two cells lying in radial direction from the antenna location within the same sector with the same frequency in each case.

Mobile radio network

An alternating voltage amplifier circuit has a plurality of semiconductor amplifier elements, preferably field effect transistors, operated in a grounded gate (base) configuration. The amplification direction is not to be determined until the application of specific operating voltages and is reversible by means of reversing such voltages. At least two semiconductor amplifier elements are provided in parallel to one another. One of the semiconductor amplifier elements is effective in one direction of amplification as an input amplifier and, with the other semiconductor amplifier element, in the other amplification direction has a power amplifier, the other semiconductor amplifier element being connectible or disconnectible upon reversal of the amplification direction.
