The present invention relates to a holder for at least one capture device () for collecting microdissected specimens, having a holding element () in which the at least one capture device () is to be arranged, the holding element () being transferable into a working position in order to collect microdissected specimens, the holding element () being mounted by way of at least two levers () in a frame () of the holder (), and being vertically displaceable relative to said frame () by way of a displacement of the levers ().

Holder for a capture device

A microscope objective changer includes a changing device for changing at least two objectives. A movable objective holder corresponds to each objective. Each movable objective holder is configured to receive a respective one of the objectives and to transfer the respective objective along a respective displacement path from an allocated stand-by position into an operating position. A carrier is associated with each objective holder and includes a guide groove constituting the respective displacement path. Each displacement path includes a first portion beginning at the respective stand-by position and extends substantially perpendicular to the optical axis and a second portion directly bordering the first portion that includes a downwardly component in a direction parallel to the optical axis such that each objective holder is movable from the respective stand-by position to the optical axis of the operating position when reaching a lower end of the second portion of the displacement path.

The present invention relates to a microscope (). The microscope () comprises a microscope stand () and a component () arranged movably relative to the microscope stand (). A gap () that can be encroached into from outside is defined by the mutually facing surfaces () of the microscope stand () and of the movably arranged component (). An ergonomic microscope () and a microscope carrier () are disclosed. The microscope encompasses a stand () which possesses a stand base () that defines an external contour (). The microscope () is placed onto the microscope carrier (). The microscope carrier () comprises a body () and a left and a right hand rest (). The left and the right hand rest () are attached to the body () so as to pivot freely and independently of one another. A height adjustment of the microscope carrier () results in a pivoting of the hand rests () in such a way that their front edges () rest on the bench surface () regardless of the height adjustment.

The focusing devicecomprises at least one operating elementwith which an operator controls the positioning of the objectiveor of the microscope stage. For adaptation of the spatial arrangement of the operating elementto the needs of an operator, the microscopeaccording to the present invention is characterized in that the spatial arrangement of the operating elementrelative to the microscope standis modifiable.

Microscope

The invention relates to a microscope, whose support consists of a principal transverse section, a foot section and a column section, which are essentially the same width. A supporting element, is provided on both sides of the column section, said element having the same width along its first contact surface as the column section.

The invention discloses a microscope () whose stand () comprises a transverse main section (), a stand column section, and a stand base section (). The stand () receives an element () that is rotatable about an axis and carries several optical elements (). A flap () through which the rotatable element () is accessible is provided on the stand. The flap () coacts with a preloaded bolt element () in such a way that when the flap () is open, the bolt element () locks the rotatable element ().

Object holder for thin slides

A microtome with a drive device is described, which has a shaft and a handwheel, arranged thereupon, with a grip. For locking the drive device, an electromagnet is firmly arranged on the housing frame of the microtome. The latter is in effective connection with an indexing ring, axially displaceable on the shaft. A control device, which is electrically connected to the electromagnet and to a sensor, controls the electromagnet in response to a signal of the sensor. The sensor triggers the signal by the position of an indexing ring arranged axially displaceably on the shaft. The said indexing ring is movable in frictional connection with a pin arranged in the grip and axially displaceable by means of a lever. The lever is actuated by seizing of the grip and the locking of the drive device is cancelled.

Automatic locking mechanism for the drive device of a microtome

Disclosed is a traversing microtome having a base (10) and a movable carriage (13). A blade holder (12) with a blade (16) is mounted on the base (10), and an object holder (14) is mounted on the carriage (13). To carry out the cutting process, the carriage (13), together with the object holder (14) and the object (15), is moved against the stationary blade (16). Between the guide rails (18,18') of the base (10) and the carriage (13) a bearing gap (30) with a width of a few microns is created by means of air bearing elements (21,21'), and consequently only a minimal force is required to move the slide (13). Between the air bearing elements (21,21'), magnets (22,22') are arranged so that their attracting forces act against the air pressure of the air bearing elements. In this manner, the force needed to arrest the motion of the carriage (13) at any given location of the guide rails (18,18') is extremely low. The carriage (13) cannot be moved when the supply of air is interrupted. The air bearing elements are suspended in the manner of a pendulum and are adjustable in height; the latter is true for the magnets (22,22') also. In view of the air bearings, no lubrication is required for the guide rails (18,18').
