Spring strut bearing, which has an antifriction bearing that is arranged axially between an upper carrier part and a lower carrier part and a sealing ring. The upper carrier part has two upper rims, and the lower carrier part has two lower rims. The upper rims and the lower rims engage into one another with the result that a combined labyrinth and slip-ring seal is formed.

Strut bearing

A device for treating sheet-like substrates with light is made for a suction table, which includes a circulating suction strip for transporting the sheet-like substrates, which suction strip forms a descending loop relative to its table-parallel transport level. The loop has a descending branch and, adjacent to the latter, an ascending branch. There is a gap for the passage of light between the descending branch and the ascending branch of the suction strip, which is bridged by a stationary bridging member which at least partially allows light to pass through it and whose surface is disposed at a level slightly recessed relative to the parallel transport level, so that a high degree of accuracy and trouble-free operation are ensured even at high transport speeds.

Device for treating sheet-like substrates with light

The friction clutch between the prime mover and the change-speed transmission in the power train of a motor vehicle is actuatable by a slave cylinder cooperating with a master cylinder wherein the piston is movable by a clutch pedal or by an electric actuator. The casing of the slave cylinder is made, at least in part, of a plastic material and defines a plenum chamber arranged to receive pressurized fluid from the master cylinder by way of a conduit extending through a bell which contains the clutch and the slave cylinder. The annular piston of the slave cylinder surrounds the input shaft of the transmission. The plastic material of the casing of the slave cylinder can contain one or more additives which enhance its strength and/or influence its frictional engagement with the adjacent surfaces of the piston or of a lip seal which reciprocates with the piston. The piston and/or the lip seal can be installed in the casing to contact one or two metallic or plastic guide sleeves which are connected to or form part of the casing.

Hydraulic operating arrangement for clutches and the like

A master cylinder for the clutch or brake of a motor vehicle has a housing for a reciprocable piston one end of which receives the spherical head of a reciprocable piston rod. The head is held in a desired position relative to the piston by a one-piece or composite coupling device having a first section exerting a pull or bearing upon the head of the piston rod and a second section which is confined in or surrounds the end of the piston and urges the first section in a direction to hold the piston rod against axial movements relative to the piston. The coupling device and/or the piston are or can be made of a plastic material, and the connection between such parts is or can be established by snap action.

Arrangement with a helical spring and a support bearing for spring struts

A slave cylinder which serves to disengage the friction clutch between the output shaft of the engine and the transmission in the power train of a motor vehicle has a housing affixed to the case of the transmission and having an internal surface coaxial with and spacedly surrounding the cylindrical external surface of a hollow cylindrical guide coaxial with and surrounding the output shaft. An annular piston of the slave cylinder is reciprocable between the two cylindrical surfaces and carries a clutch release bearing at one end. The other end of the piston is adjacent an annular plenum chamber of the slave cylinder. An annular seal between an end portion of the guide at the transmission case and an adjacent annular centering portion of the housing is installed in such a way that it does not extend radially outwardly beyond the internal surface of the housing, i.e., radially of and beyond the plenum chamber.

Clutch actuating apparatus

A hydraulic clutch release mechanism, particularly for use in the power train of a motor vehicle, employs a circular piston which is reciprocable in a plenum chamber between a cylindrical housing and a guide centrally located within the housing. One end portion of the piston is form-lockingly connected with a plastic seal at the plenum chamber. Such form-locking connection is provided adjacent one of two lips forming part of the seal. The one lip engages the external surface of the guide and the other lip engages the internal surface of the housing and is adjacent another form-locking connection established between the seal and an annular plastic or metallic retainer which is affixed to the piston with limited axial play. The other end portion of the piston is operatively connected with a clutch, e.g., by way of a release bearing.

Hydraulic clutch release mechanism

A hydraulic clutch release mechanism has a clutch pedal-operated master cylinder connected with the clutch release member (such as a fork or a bearing) by way of a conduit or by way of a slave cylinder and a conduit. The sealing but separable connection between at least one of the cylinders and the respective conduit comprises a T-shaped fitting having a first section sealingly connected with an end portion of the respective conduit and a second section coupled to the housing of the at least one cylinder by snap action. The fitting further carries a relief valve which opens when the pressure of hydraulic fluid in a plenum chamber of the at least one cylinder rises to a preselected value. The fitting and/or the housing and/or the body of the valve and/or the end portion of the conduit consists of or contains a suitable plastic material, such as polyamide.

A hydraulically operated central release unit for a motor vehicle clutch is designed as a slave cylinder that is arranged inside a clutch housing. The central release unit includes a housing in which a ring piston is movably guided. The ring piston has a groove ring seal with lips sealingly contacting the sealing tracks. To reduce the wear on the sealing lips and to avoid squeaking noises of the groove ring seal, the surfaces of the sealing tracks are provided with micro cavities.

Slave cylinder for a centered clutch release system

A hydraulically operated release mechanism for a friction clutch assembly of motor vehicles, includes a slave cylinder adapted for positioning in a clutch housing and having a pressure housing in concentric surrounding relation to a driveshaft and secured to a gearbox casing. Hydraulic fluid is supplied to a pressure compartment of the slave cylinder via a pressure conduit which is connected in one piece with the pressure housing and bridges a radial distance between the pressure housing and the clutch housing. The pressure conduit has a free end for attachment of an adapter inside the clutch housing in proximity of an opening of the clutch housing, with a fitting insertable through the opening for attachment to the adapter, after assembly of the slave cylinder.

Hydraulically operated clutch release mechanism for a motor vehicle

An actuating cylinder (2), especially for a hydraulic clutch operation device in a motor vehicle, is disclosed, having a piston unit (6) arranged in a housing (4) and guided via a guide sleeve (8) which is permanently connected to the housing, wherein the piston unit can be displaced by means of a thrust bolt (10). A thrust bolt head (12) is permanently attached directly to the thrust bolt and its relative position with regard to the thrust bolt determines the working stroke (H) of the piston unit, which is done at the time of assembly of the actuating cylinder already. The thrust bolt head is slid onto the thrust bolt and the working stroke between the guide sleeve and the thrust bolt head is adjusted before the thrust bolt head is attached to the thrust bolt. The actuating cylinder and its assembly are simplified according to this invention, so that subsequent work in adjusting the working stroke can be eliminated.
