A foot brake valve (′) of a pneumatic brake system in a motor vehicle has an installation plate (′), on which a brake pedal () is pivotably mounted and to which a housing (′) of a control unit () is fastened. A spring-loaded plunger piston () in actuating contact with the brake pedal () is guided axially movably in an annular collar () projecting upward out of the installation plate (′). For fastening the housing (′) of the control unit () to the installation plate (′), the housing (′) has an intermediate flange () which is screw-connected to the main part of the housing (′) and has the annular collar (). The intermediate flange () is coaxially rotatably about a vertical central axis (), and is connectable in non-positively locking fashion to the installation plate (′) via a releasable clamping connection ().

Foot brake valve of an air brake system

A relay valve (') for a compressed-air system of a vehicle has a working pressure inlet, a working pressure outlet, a venting outlet and a controllable relay piston (). The relay piston () is axially movably guided and, at one axial end, has an annular, radially inner valve seat (). A sealing piston () is axially movably guided coaxially with respect to the relay piston (). The sealing piston () is pushed by a compression spring () toward the relay piston () and an annular, radially outer valve seat (), which is a part of a seat ring () fastened in an annular collar () of the housing bottom part (). The seat ring () is a deep-drawn component shaped as a cylindrical pot of a metallic material. The radially outer valve seat () is an axially protruding annular web with a gable-shaped axial cross section.

Relay valve for a compressed-air system

A control valve () of a compressed air system of a vehicle has a control piston (), guided in an axially movable manner in a housing cylinder (), two pressure chambers () separated from one another by the control piston (), which is sealed by at least one sealing ring () arranged on the outer circumference of the control piston (). The sealing ring () is a radial sealing ring having an axial length which substantially corresponds to the axial thickness of the control piston (). The sealing ring () has, on each of the two axial edges thereof, one respective radially obliquely outwardly directed sealing lip () which is in contact with the inner wall () of the cylinder (), and that a plurality of guide members () distributed over the circumference and formed between the two sealing lips () on the sealing ring ().

Control valve of a compressed air system

A dual circuit brake valve system comprises first and second brake circuits, first and second combined inlet and outlet valves through which first and second braking pressures respectively are delivered to said first and second brake circuits, and first and second pistons which actuate the first and second combined inlet and outlet valves respectively. The second piston is actuated by the first braking pressure which serves as a control pressure therefor. To achieve simultaneous actuation of the first and second combined inlet and outlet valves, a compression spring is installed between the first and second pistons and mechanically connects these to each other. Thereby, a pressure difference of .DELTA.p between the pressure in the first brake circuit and the pressure in the second brake circuit, which approaches zero, is achieved. In order to be able to increase the pressure difference .DELTA.p in the two brake circuits, a third piston is provided between the first and second pistons. The third piston is subjected to braking pressure from the first brake circuit in such a manner that the third piston compresses the compression spring when a predetermined level of pressure is reached in the first brake circuit, thereby causing the mechanical connection between the first piston and the second piston to be suspended.
