A control system for an implement hitch of an agricultural vehicle, wherein the hitch is mounted to the vehicle and includes one or more hydraulic cylinders or other actuators operable to raise and lower the hitch between minimum and maximum heights relative to the vehicle and hold the hitch static at one or more heights between the minimum and maximum heights. The control system includes a rocker control device having a first operating position and being movable in a first direction to a first limit position and in a second direction to a second limit position. An electronic control unit (ECU) is connected to the rocker control device and controls operation of the or each of the hydraulic cylinders or actuators and thereby control raising and lowering of the hitch in response to user operation of the rocker control device. The ECU is operable to control raising and lowering of the hitch to move it to a selected one of two or more previously stored positions between the said minimum and maximum heights, and to switch between the said previously stored positions in response to a predetermined first actuation operation of the same rocker control device. Preferably, the same rocker control device is used to control the input and storage of at least one further height value.

Implement hitch control system

A control system for an implement hitch of an agricultural vehicle, wherein the hitch is mounted to the vehicle and includes one or more hydraulic cylinders or other actuators operable to raise and lower the hitch between minimum and maximum heights relative to the vehicle and hold the hitch static at one or more heights between the minimum and maximum heights. The control system includes a rocker control device having a first operating position and being movable in a first direction to a first limit position and in a second direction to a second limit position. An electronic control unit connected to the rocker control device is configured to control operation of the or each of the hydraulic cylinders or actuators and thereby control raising and lowering of the hitch in response to user operation of the rocker control device. The ECU is operable to control raising and lowering of the hitch according to one of two or more control modes, and to switch between said control modes in response to a predetermined first actuation operation of the same rocker control device.

A tractor has a chassis () which supports an engine () towards the front thereof. A deflecting shield () is positioned to the rear of the engine to deflect sideways hot air which has passed over the engine, and a tank () for the storage of urea based fluid for injection into an exhaust system of the engine is located behind the engine to the rear of the deflecting shield. The chassis to the rear of the engine may have an open-topped section () between the engine () and a transmission housing (), the tank being at least partially housed within the open-topped section of the chassis to shield the tank from the hot air which has passed over the engine and from the heating effects of the sun.

Tractor

An exhaust system for an agricultural and/or industrial tractor () having an internal combustion engine () located in an engine compartment covered by an engine hood (). The system includes an exhaust gas treatment unit () located inside the engine compartment hood and having a main chamber () fed by an inlet pipe () which receives exhaust gases from the engine and an outlet pipe () which passes treated gases into a final portion () of the exhaust system. The inlet and outlet pipes () are non-aligned and extending alongside the main chamber () in opposite directions to reduce the overall length of the treatment unit. The treatment unit () may be installed above the engine () with the exhaust gases passing through the unit either generally normal or parallel to the direction of driving (D) of the tractor.

Exhaust systems for vehicles

A vehicle, in particular an agricultural tractor, is disclosed with a vehicle chassis, which is formed at least partly from two laterally spaced side members () with C-shaped profile, comprising a vertical bar () and two horizontal flanges () and containing hydraulic lines in the space between the flanges, and with a radiator sub-assembly (), fitted to the vehicle chassis, which consists of a carrier plate () fitted to the side members and several oil coolers () supported by the carrier plate. In order to improve the routing of the hydraulic lines to the oil coolers and to provide unhindered assembly and simple subsequent maintenance, it is proposed that the open sides of the C-profile of the side members () should point to the vehicle exterior, that at least one subsection () of the carrier plate () extends into the region between the side members () and that ducts (), connected to the oil coolers () are integrated into the at least one subsection () of the carrier plate () and flow into lateral ports () turned towards the vertical bars () and can be connected through recesses () in the bars () to hydraulic lines () laid between the flanges ().

Utility vehicle, in particular an agricultural tractor

A radiator module for commercial motor vehicles, in particular for agricultural tractors, has a support plate fixed to the chassis and at least one coolant radiator fixed to the support plate. The radiator has a radiator block and two coolant tanks oriented at opposite ends of the block with one tank adjacent the support plate and one spaced away form the support plate. In order to increase the cooling performance of the radiator module despite keeping the installation space above the support plate constant it is proposed that the coolant tank near the plate is constructed from two mutually complementing tank parts. The first tank part is assigned to the radiator block and has an encircling flange for pressure sealed attachment of the coolant radiator on the support plate. A second tank part is assigned to the support plate. By dividing the coolant tank into two parts, one on the radiator block and one on the support plate the effective heat sink area of the coolant radiator can be substantially increased. On the one hand the enlargement is due to the fact that the flange encircling the first tank part also serves to attach the coolant radiator on the support plate and in this region an assembly gap is therefore left between these components. On the other hand the enlargement is due to the fact that by moving part of the coolant tank under the surface of the support plate, the overall height of the coolant radiator is increased accordingly.
