The invention relates to a multi-chamber bagfor medical purposes which is formed by films, in particular flexible films, that are arranged against one another, are made of an at least partially transparent material and are interconnected in a liquid-tight manner using at least one non-separable seam, the bag being divided into at least two chambersA,B by at least one separable seam, by means of which the films arranged against one another are interconnected in a liquid-tight manner. The multi-chamber bag according to the invention is characterised by at least one visually perceptible structurethat signals the state of the at least one separable seamand can be easily optically detected. Using this visible structure, the user can immediately identify whether the seamis open or closed. The present invention relates to a device and method for conveying fluids into the treatment unit of a medical treatment apparatus. The device and method according to the present invention are based on the fact that the fluid with which the treatment unit is supplied, circulates in a fluid circuit including the treatment unit. To balance fresh and used fluid fed to the treatment unit or conveyed from the treatment unit, a balancing unit with a balancing chamber is used, which can be incorporated into the fluid circuit including the treatment unit. It is thus possible to supply the fluid circuit continuously with fresh fluid or to carry away used fluid continuously from the fluid circuit. The supply and discharge of fresh and used fluid can take place at a different flow rate from the flow rate at which the fluid circulates in the fluid circuit via the treatment unit.

A device for introducing a reference liquid into a measurement appliance for determining the parameters of liquid samples. The device has a separate conduit element which at one end can be inserted into an input port on the measurement appliance and at the other end can be inserted into an ampoule containing the reference liquid. The device also comprises a holding arrangement for holding the ampoule containing the reference liquid, which holding arrangement can be secured on the measurement appliance. There is provided the advantage of affording a high degree of reproducibility between successive introductions. There is also provided a measurement appliance with such a device, and a method for introducing a reference liquid into a measurement appliance.

A disposable receptacle unit for solutions is described, in particular for solutions used in calibrating sensors for measurement of physiologically relevant parameters. The receptacle is a disposable blister pack for a single use that includes several chambers to hold solutions. Each chamber is connected to a sample channel by an outlet channel sealed by a sealing element. The sensors for measurement of physiological parameters are preferably part of the receptacle unit. To calibrate the sensors, the calibration solutions in the chambers are metered into the sample channel after opening the corresponding sealing elements. After the treatment, the receptacle unit is discarded together with the sensors.
